The problem is when you try to use a USB hard drive with a Mac computer

I plugged in an external hard drive loaded with music and movies to the USB 2.0 port, and now I can access them from any device in the house, and I didn't have to configure anything.

but then I realized that it's because the hard drive was cable through the power eSATA or the USB 3.0 cable which was the problem

Also have an external USB hard drive connected as a "cloud storage" that works fine

The external hard drive feature get disconnected after 20 minutes of use (tried 3 different ones) and you have to reboot the device again, etc
