The Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router is really three devices in one box. First, theres the Wireless Access Point, which lets you connect both screaming fast Wireless-G (802.11g at 54Mbps) and Wireless-B (802.11b...
All our devices... cells, tablets, laptops, and 2 smart TVs run at the same time seamlessly on it
Everything is my house runs on internet (2, smart tv, to Xiaomi Android TV's an IPhone & PC) and speeds are over 500 MB on capable devices(I have A 500 MB Internet
Have a smart tv hard-wired to unit - a real workhorse.
My Roku/smart tv wouldn't work well with my old router
It works as long as I reset every day, 3 computers, HP printer, 3 iPhones, apple TV and 2 Samsung Smart TV's all at once with no problems
I usually never use setup wizards because they don't usually work for my requirements, however, in this case not only was it the best wizard I've used to date, I was shocked to see the internet came up and running despite the router being on the wrong subnet for my network
Overall, the setup is a really pain and there is a bug in their firmware that is not resolved.
Easy setup more consistent and better range than my older router
Setup was very easy, after I worked through an initial issue
Easy setup, looks like the old Linksys gear, and works great
It's fast and very dependable with some very great security features
Of course, I've also tried moving the router, but am limited as to placement.
I was really hoping this router, as ugly as it is, would win me over with performance.
What this means is that even though this router has been out for more than 2 years, the alternate firmwares for it still don't support all the features of the router.
Though you can get it to be installed, you do not gain all the features within that software like it is implied
(linksys RE7000) to ensure seamless signal throughout the house but the coverage is still sucky.
I get much better coverage, signal strength, and speed than I did with my previous router
I bought this router to supplement the router provided by my ISP (AT&T U-verse) which provided mediocre wireless coverage (including several dead spots) on my 2-story home
Great coverage, easy to setup and administer all my devices.
I was really hoping this router, as ugly as it is, would win me over with performance.
avoid this, as it has the same firmware issue as the ac2600
but i personally unsuccessful and 5 linksys agents were also
Amazing I was able to install DDWRT open source firmware within 15 minutes of opening the box
I read it off to the lady, she repeats it back to me, incorrectly, at which time I correct her and repeat the correct S/N back to her and at that time the line is disconnected.
I have some other miscellaneous devices, smart TV’s, blu ray players, etc

If search issues you'll find connection issues is a common problem
Amazing I was able to install DDWRT open source firmware within 15 minutes of opening the box
A second time was due to similar device connection issue
They warned me that this was a known issue with this model and the new unit might have the same issues

(I was directed to reset the router to factory settings, to wait for them to update, to wait for an updated firmware), furthermore they advised this was a known issue and rather than rolling back to the previous firmware version they are taking some time to rectify the issue
Amazing I was able to install DDWRT open source firmware within 15 minutes of opening the box
Update: after a few months the router was experiencing some connectivity issues
but after recent firmware upgrade it is plagued with connectivity issues
I read it off to the lady, she repeats it back to me, incorrectly, at which time I correct her and repeat the correct S/N back to her and at that time the line is disconnected.
Internet connectivity issues, the router keeps rebooting over and over.
I have some other miscellaneous devices, smart TV’s, blu ray players, etc
I like that it is easy to hook up and use.no issues at all so far everything works as it should.
I'm guessing there is a firmware problem with how the router handles ip addresses and there lease times and renewing them
This is unacceptable to me as I do not have that kind of money to have held during this process as well as to me even per
I used a old portable Wifi AP (not available on Amazon; Zonet ZSR4174WE) to add a "b" connection to work around.
Although reviews didn't show a huge performance difference and on paper the upgrade seemed marginal (a slightly faster 4 core cpu vs the 1900s older dual core, and 512M of team vs the 1900s 256
but i personally unsuccessful and 5 linksys agents were also

This router has known wifi issues that Belkin has admitted but is very slow to come up with a fix
Amazing I was able to install DDWRT open source firmware within 15 minutes of opening the box

This unit was a bit overkill for my needs and home, but it was important for me to ensure that I had a great router that I could put in the basement of a 2-story home and still have excellent signal without dead spots.
but I still have dead spots that I did not expect, need another solution
It was a major improvement, no more dead spots throughout the house with enough bandwidth to cover all our devices
I have some other miscellaneous devices, smart TV’s, blu ray players, etc
I did all my cable connections, located a good spot for using Wi-Fi
I used a old portable Wifi AP (not available on Amazon; Zonet ZSR4174WE) to add a "b" connection to work around.
I used to have connection problems for device this has fixed that
Absolutely no issues, and it has no connection problems - it just stays up delivering super fast to my devices from my 100/100 Fromtier FIOS provider
Fixing the wireless connection problem was easy and it worked, but after I finished with tech support because of dropped signal-the router dropped the signal again
It's been 4 days and haven't had any connection problems with my old unit
As a landlord, getting called and texted to fix the internet every few hours was HORRIBLE.
I work very long hours in the summer and fall and thought they can deal with it and my wife didn't complain so it was all good
If you would like a month long odyssey of tech support calls, hours on hold listening to bad music, and to be witness to a failed support program and a broken product with no fix in sight
Hooked up the old router, spent three hours with Linksys customer support, and still unable to get it to work.
Now this happens once every few hours making the router utterly unusable unless you want to spend time resetting it every time it happens
Have to hard reset router regularly just to get it to work for a few minutes for a manual log-in.
UPDATE:8.5 months later and now my router is dropping all Wi-Fi connections until I do a hard reset of it
Had some trouble hooking up an airport express until I did a hard reset on the express unit.
After I did a hard reset (which the router page doesn't say I have to do), the router continually flashed, as if I had flashed too large a version, but I hadn't.
I read it off to the lady, she repeats it back to me, incorrectly, at which time I correct her and repeat the correct S/N back to her and at that time the line is disconnected.
Amazing I was able to install DDWRT open source firmware within 15 minutes of opening the box
Also you can make any device into a network device, like an old printer, or an external hard drive, by plugging into the USB 3.0 port found on the router
Also have an external USB hard drive connected as a "cloud storage" that works fine
My Book Desktop External Hard Drive - USB 3.0 - WDBBGB0060HBK-NESN
but then I realized that it's because the hard drive was cable through the power eSATA or the USB 3.0 cable which was the problem
