Hopefully this is only a firmware problem that can be fixed, but currently I would not recommend buying this router.

There's either a hardware defect or a serious firmware problem that no one has figured out yet

I'm guessing there is a firmware problem with how the router handles ip addresses and there lease times and renewing them

It's a firmware problem and if you visit the Linksys forums you'll see a lot of people are having the same woes.
