Adding all of my devices was straightforward and seeing them all by name on the web page is a nice feature.
I like the features of this product like to reset the wifi, manage the users, stop the link temporarily or permanent of a certain connection thru my phone
if you want to use it as a WAP, you have to use bridge mode which disables could based management which disables all the features of the device
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, or any other Linksys router that supports their "Smart Wi-fi" feature.

this is a horrible product, after all the setup and basic configuration the router would not give out dhcp addresses to all devices, I connect router to directv, sonos, amazon fire, mobile phones, ipad, and pc.
Overall it's a solid product but just make sure you don't expect the world from this router.
Darn shame with such a faulty product, I had a Linksys years ago that never gave me an ounce of issues for YEARS
Let me recommend one of our other expensive refurbished products so that we may someday have this chat again!
Product works as promised however the web interface is not so great DHCP reservations not saving

You can easily restrict network access through the dinner hour, through the night, etc
I can block certain devices from the network right from the app as well as grant guest access to my network from the app also
The wordly kid from next door shows up with his iPad 'cause he has R rated access to Netfilx and wants to share the newest movie with your 7 year old, YAhoo!, just restrict his device from loading netflix.com or restrict access completely!
You can restrict access to your kid's iPhone so they can't text all night.
Sometimes we restrict access to some news sites so we can get work done

I have en extensive music collection, and I bought the router because it allows me to make a USB 3 connection to a hard drive.
The Q&A and problem solving 'section' had little help with the locking of my PC and had No answers for why the USB Hard drive was in READ ONLY mode
Just as a FYI for linking a USB Hard Drive to this router. . . with any sort of compression/indexing may need to reverse one or both to write to your HD. .
Love how I can map to my USB 3 hard drive that's attached to this router
Convenient to have USB 3 ports that can attach fast drive for shared storage/backup
