    Linksys WRT54GL Wi-Fi Wireless-G Broadband Router

    • Multiple hard resets and updating the firmware did not resolve the issues.
    • First the routers software bricked after routing ports which forced me to perform a hard reset
    • So I contacted Linksys support again and this time they had me do a hard reset, manually download and install the latest firmware, and wait.
    • Had some trouble hooking up an airport express until I did a hard reset on the express unit.
    • Have to hard reset router regularly just to get it to work for a few minutes for a manual log-in.
    • UPDATE:8.5 months later and now my router is dropping all Wi-Fi connections until I do a hard reset of it

    • After a firmware update, the router kept locking up and the only fix was to do a hard reset.
    • this router's 2.4 band worked better than the 5ghz band as coverage, coverage was ok but not perfect hiwever my main issue with this router was setting pppoe connection to it, it never worked, sometimes it connectedkeep disconnecting on its own than reconnecting it was realy strange, support wasnt helpful i did the basic stuff firmeareupgrade, hard reset etc... never workedeventually ibought a cheap router and used it as a modem and change this one's connectiin typefrom pppoe to dynamicip
    • After I did a hard reset (which the router page doesn't say I have to do), the router continually flashed, as if I had flashed too large a version, but I hadn't.
    • I read it off to the lady, she repeats it back to me, incorrectly, at which time I correct her and repeat the correct S/N back to her and at that time the line is disconnected.
    • A “poor man’s bridge” will have to be used
    • I have some other miscellaneous devices, smart TV’s, blu ray players, etc
