If you you want a good overall router for a good price, this seems to be it.
As luck would have it, while I was doing my research, Amazon had a daily special, which offered this TP-Link AC1200 router for a great price, so I jumped on it.
Great value router, definitely the cheapest A/C router with gigabit connections
Great reviews, cheap price, too good to be true
This Wi-Fi Router really met my expectations in terms of coverage and reliability at a very good price
My leased Time Warner modem has a pitifully poor range that doesn't reach two rooms in my house at all and has problems with keeping dual band access available
The router itself works OK though the range is mediocre, not great.
It has good range and have not experienced any issues with it so far.
It works good, the range is enough for me, and the configuration is easy.
If wireless range is an issue with your existing router it will likely still be a problem with this one
I also love the Phone App that makes it easy to change the network name/password as well as manage users
Relies on some cumbersome app to help with installation
I'm removing 1 star just because the "TP-Link Tether" app is useless, it is not a big deal but only worked OK a few times and then just stopped connecting to the router
The digital app works very well and is easy to download and use.
They also have a free app you can use to manage the router
The router's default gateway also did not work as it wouldn't recognize anything connected to it
Great value router, definitely the cheapest A/C router with gigabit connections
Look, I don't expect methamphetamine speeds or crazy performance from a $60 router, but I expect a good $60 router to give me 80-90% of my wired speeds
but I'm willing to look past that because the performance is great
Performance is significantly better than the router that I replaced
The wired clients still have internet access but the speed is SIGNIFICANTLY slower, 30/10 down from 100/10
Much improved wireless speeds and range over previous router.
Easy set-up, great router, fast speed for all of my devices!
While using the AE as an extension, I was still getting fast speeds, but it actually cut my speed down some compared to using the TP link router by itself.
Honestly, just 50 Mbps is totally fine for almost everyone's needs, and 300Mbps is just plain ridiculous speed, which is why this router is almost a steal for $65.
The router's default gateway also did not work as it wouldn't recognize anything connected to it
2 g Wi-Fi is now broken, only keeps my tablet and phone connected for a few minutes at a time
One year and this router started acting up: refusing wireless connections with 'Wrong password" message, wireless speed is down 80%, frequent stutters while streaming video
However, not all of my devices support 5g and now some will not connect to the 2.4ghz band.
Speeds are excellent on all my WIFI devices that support 5G. If you have older
Never worked well, has completely crapped out 2.5 months after purchase
After installing the TP-LINk and getting 90 mbps in the all house, i got impressed, i couldn't believe it, i recommend this product, installation was ext easy and they provide 2 yrs support/ NETGEAR one month.
I just need to switch back to Charter high speed to take advantage, AT&T sucks for internet.
Worked great force months now the 2.4 wireless doesn't work....junk would not recommend!!!!
Works the same way as the replaced old one, months passed and so far works good
Since this product, I have started buying other TP Link products as well
FAST and FURIOUS just as it was intended
By Nov/Dec 2017 started having an issue where the router would freeze constantly
I just need to switch back to Charter high speed to take advantage, AT&T sucks for internet.

I have had This Wi-Fi Router since January 24 2017 and it work’s great
Installation should have been straight Ford but due to user error needed help
I believe that the unit was faulty or their website perhaps was buggy that day, but really not sure if it was user error or the device.
I take one-star Amazon reviews with a grain of salt, especially with something like wireless routers where there's a ton of factors that can go wrong (environment, user error, etc)

Before I can restart using this functionality, the router requires me to do a hard reset on it, then reset and reenter the passcode for each device that connects to it.
It worked well for the first 3 months, with some intermittent issues but a reset usually fixes it
I have had This Wi-Fi Router since January 24 2017 and it work’s great
The hard reset fixes it... for another 8-10 hours or so
Restarting the router fixed the problem but its requiring more and more frequent resets (2-3 times per day) to remedy the problems
