This amp excels in the warm lush midrange and smooth clear highs---the bass is "better" with the Oppo---I just eq in more bass when I use the Little Bear

(I've tried it with IEM's as well as Sennheiser HD 558's, and overall the bass is much more pleasant - it gives the impression of a bass boost, but not as obnoxious or in-your-face as the Killamanjaro's bass boost
