I have listened to very expensive tube and Class A solid state amps and this little tube amp comes closer to them than to the myriad of cheap solid state and tube amps that abound

Now, you can't expect it to be at the price, but it is quite smeary and fuzzy compared to a reasonable solid state amp at the same price or less

I don't detect (that tube magic, or difference from solid state), but that said its a good little amp
