This is so much easier than using a towel or something to hold my hot cast iron

After few uses one day i started smelling something burning while cast iron skillet was on stove .

I cannot seem to find how the 2 different handles vary, but clearly avoid if intend to use with the lodge easy grip cast iron handle as it is way to loose.

From someone who has been distracted and grabbed the handle of a hot cast iron skillet off the burner, this is a lifesaver as it not only protects hands from the heat, but the bright red color stands out against the black pan, so you can easily see it and know you’re protected.

You really need the helper cover as well b/c you need to push it on the handle with a bit of force

but they do not slide or twist as you handle the pan.
