  • Easy to clean, great color and worth the few dollars to purchase.
  • Fits perfectly on my cast iron skillet and it's in my favorite color too!
  • It’s nice, the color is pretty, does what it says, how ever still gets pretty hot through it
  • Works well with my cast iron love the colors and love my cast iron
  • From someone who has been distracted and grabbed the handle of a hot cast iron skillet off the burner, this is a lifesaver as it not only protects hands from the heat, but the bright red color stands out against the black pan, so you can easily see it and know you’re protected.

Reviews around work (5.00 of 5)

  • This works really well, is cool to the touch and washes well
  • I am a BIG FAN of lodge cast iron, and I originally bought a blue one a few years back, but it did not survive the open flame very well, so I found this one....the shape is not exactly the same as the older shape, but it sill works great, and fits great, and is affordable enough that if I have to buy a replacement, I can!
  • Bought one and plan on buying more for gifts they are amazing and work really well on my cast iron pans.. i really recommended this product its amazing
  • The cast iron skillet works really good for making dosa pancakes crepes
  • The sleeve works very well at insulating your hand from the hot handle, no doubt there

Reviews around idea (4.59 of 5)

  • Great little gift idea for anyone who lives to cook in cast iron.
  • Like the assist handle review I previously left and like many other have mentioned this is a good idea in theory but does not pan out
  • This product looks like a great idea, but the heat transfers thru quickly.
  • but they do not slide or twist as you handle the pan.
  • Good idea but only works with a hot item that’s already out of the oven.

Reviews around pad (4.21 of 5)

  • Love the handle and no more bulky pads
  • This grip is easy to get on and off and much easier to use picking up the pan than a towel or a hot pad
  • As a result, I found that a hot pad or towel works just as well.
  • but they do not slide or twist as you handle the pan.
  • These are so handy, and not have to fumble with a hot pad

Reviews around quality (4.19 of 5)

  • Didn’t fit perfect but very good quality still does the job
  • Not very suitable, easy to fall off, and has a strange smell, but the quality is good
  • but they do not slide or twist as you handle the pan.
  • Feels sloppy loose with a heavy skillet not good quality wish they still made the fabric type
  • Good quality item, but fits loosely on my 12” Lodge pan

Reviews around item (4.07 of 5)

  • I decided to try to put the thinner protector onto the cast iron skillet since the item in this review was practically useless
  • Good idea but only works with a hot item that’s already out of the oven.
  • This item works well on the handles of my cast iron pans
  • This item doesn't work at all!

Reviews around skillet (4.07 of 5)

  • Soooo much better than holding a hot skillet handle with a pot holder.
  • I'm honestly afraid to pick up the skillet when heated, fearing that the handle holder would just slide right off
  • and I was curious as to how hot my skillet gets on medium heat
  • Not the feeling I want when lifting a heavy, hot skillet
  • it makes a very hot and heavy skillet unstable

Reviews around grip (3.43 of 5)

  • Once product get warm from the pan it looses its grip on the handle
  • Provides a good grip and blocks the heat, which is it's intended purpose, so
  • It is a heat-absorbing help ya with holding the handle of your cast iron for a sturdier grip tool
  • So if your iron pan (like mine) isnt shaped like the grip, the grip still feels "loose" and not tight on the pan
  • The sleeve is silicon and just spins around until you get a good grip

Reviews around heat (3.07 of 5)

  • It's not super heat resistant although in most times it works just fine
  • Good heat resistant, this is not to leave in cooking, it's for grabbing the pan and take it off, works very well.
  • Do not protect heat as well as I expected also do not fit the Lodge Skillet very
  • I cooked several steaks on a regular stove top burner but when I tried to lift it from the stove top, the heat went through the bottom handle and burnt my hand

Reviews around time (2.23 of 5)

  • Plus it stays on there all the time, and I will never burn my hand again
  • Beware - the very first time I used it the plastic MELTED!!!
  • I don't have to dig out my potholders that typically don't stand the heat and get dirty every time I use them.
  • Sadly, the first time I used this to sear salmon, the heat burned right through the silicone.
  • I have lodge 9” inch pan and every time I cook , its handle gets really hot and I have to use some cloth to hold it on

Reviews around bite (1.95 of 5)

  • The handle also burnt a bit on the bottom , which surprised me
  • I like this product, now its not perfect, but for the price its pretty good
  • Does not protect handle from heat at all, not even a little bit.
  • You could avoid the heat build up by not leaving it on the pan, but it's a bit awkward to get on and off
  • Largely OKAY, but it feels a bit loose on the handle of my lodge cast iron

Reviews around lodge pan (1.09 of 5)

  • this is made by Lodge, for Lodge pans, so I would expect a really good fit
  • It handles the heat well, but doesn’t fit my lodge pan handle
  • It is too large to properly and securely fit on the lodge pan's handle.
  • I have Lodge pans from 8.5" to 12" and it did not fit any of them
  • This may work well on some pans, but it doesn't fit the handle of the Lodge pan that it came with.
