To resolve the connectivity issue, find the MAC ID of the device, go into your router, assign a static IP to that MAC address, then reboot the Harmony Hub (just unplug it for 2 mins).

I did not have to set a static IP for the MAC address.

Then tell your smart phone app what the static IP address is and, viola, it works every time you try and connect

You HAVE to set it to a static IP address or you will never be able to connect with your smart phone.

Oh, and the device will not allow you to assign a static IP, so you have to use your router to force it to use a static IP.Setup was easy (other than the connectivity issues).

Then tell your smart phone app what the static IP address is and, hopefully, the app will connect quickly every time from then on

And the fourth has been absolute hell because it won't recognize the correct I outs for a vizio TV.
