Logitech Harmony Smart Control with Smartphone App and Simple All In One Remote - Black

    • The main thing that takes the most time is getting the synchronization correct
    • a DirecTv DVR.Needless to say, this thing was a breeze to set up via the app on iPhone
    • And when I actually lost that tiny little thing, lines were drawn
    • I can't say enough good things about it.
    • This thing is awesome,
    • this little thing is AMAZING!
    • Having one remote to control everything, well, makes things much simpler and, if the remote is across the room, voice control through Alexa is definitely a positive thing.
    • Overall I just can't say enough good things about this remote.
    • This thing is awesome!
    • generally I love this thing
    • Since the minute I got it this thing has been great
    • The app is absolutely the best thing about the Harmony Hub
    • even my lunker of a caveman can do it, anyways for the sale price this thing is amazing, even if it wasn't on sale I would say worth it, simple phone app and one touch and my stereo comes on and selects proper settings along with all my other devices, one
    • this thing is amazing
    • The odd thing is that the default display that's tied to the remote that comes with the package does have that graphical representation, but as mentioned earlier is not keyed to navigation
    • Not a deal breaker, but so far, the worst thing (except the locked landscape mode on a tablet).
    • The good thing so far is that it overall seems to work
    • Love this thing
    • However, even with the nitpicks this thing is seriously awesome once you get it set up.
    • Once the hub was set up things got much smoother.
    • The greatest thing about this no need fro Windows or Mac OSX to do the set up
    • This thing has been a pain in the behind since day one.
    • Best thing ever
    • honestly it's the easiest/best thing I've ever used with a mini home theater pc
    • Where I could, I made both the short-press and long-press functions the same so that an accidental longer press does the same thing as a shorter press (certain persons in my household want to hold the button down until the function occurs and that takes them to the second function which may not be in use
    • I LOVE this thing.
    • I just don't like learning new things.
    • The thing I really like is that the onscreen buttons will not wear and even if they do you can get another tablet cheap.
    • If your patient, have lot's of tech and want to connect all of it you'll love this thing
    • A nice thing is that the remote communicates with the box without being able to see it and you do not have to point the remote at anything
    • I love this thing
    • Its fantastic to have just one remote to work every single thing, and the activities combinations are fabulous
    • Don't be surprised if you initially have to spend 4 hours getting the timing of when things turning on correct and the keys mapped to your liking etc.
    • The other note worthy thing I found that can be done is turn on an activity, or a device, when I'm not on my
    • As you probably know, the remote is communicating through the Wifi network to the hub, which then sends IR to the devices you're controlling, so the hardest thing to get used to is not having the wave the remote around (sometimes above my head) to access my devices
    • Love love love love love this thing
    • Is this the worst thing on
    • This thing sucks
    • In fact, about the only good thing about it is the feel of the remote
    • I Love this thing
    • The other thing I do not like is that unlike the Elite version ($300 plus), with smart control, I basically have to yank it and reattach to my computer each time I need to edit or rerun the sequence
    • I've got 2 young boys that like to destroy things and this system has been bullet proof thus far.
    • This makes things so simple and cleaned up my side table.
    • At first it was doing weird things during setup, but then I found the instructions to put it inside the cabinet with the other A/V equipment, and now it works great
    • I'm preparing to set this one up, but I think it's a good thing.
    • This thing is awesome.
    • they haven't done a single thing wrong
    • Before I bought this product I had gone to their web site to made sure my things were compatible and they were.
    • An important thing to mention is that the more devices you have and how they work together will largely affect how complex the setup ends up being, as well as if you are tech savvy or not
    • Some things are oddly missing though in the flexibility.
    • This thing can get incredibly buggy.
    • Then, when hope seems lost, things are great
    • Not because of the iPhone app (which I don't use or care about) or even because the remote is necessarily the best thing out there.
    • I just love the thing
    • I LOVE this thing!
    • This thing is awesome
    • Does strange things
    • UPDATE: 3 years later and this thing has been mostly a headache
    • Love this thing
    • Three important things to consider before you get this are 1 your WiFi
    • The only missing thing for me is the lit keys
    • Overall the best thing about this is having one remote to control all, including my Fire TV
    • One annoying thing is that even if you have an older harmony remote, it forces you to register a new account, and then you can attempt to port over the settings - which it told me didn't exist - annoying after giving me the option.
    • tune to the correct input, turn on the soundbar, and cablebox, things go haywire and I end up having to do it all manually anyway.
    • Back lighting would have been a good thing to add to this remote and 'learning' a remote seems like a process.
    • This thing is amazing.
    • This things is awesome.
    • Holy cow, this thing is great
    • Second best thing I have ever bought for myself! EVER!
    • & it works, which is a nice thing, but if the IR blaster or Hub can't control the device, you can't use the remote to "over ride".
    • This thing is great when it works - extremely complicated to set up
    • If the PS4 is not on the main system menu, then trying to turn it off can cause some strange things to happen
    • this is the best thing on the planet, where's the remote
    • The best thing about this is the Google Assistant integration.
    • This thing is incredible.
    • This thing is incredibly useful
    • I thought, mistakenly so, that I could import my 650 settings over and things would be beautiful.
    • Programming it is not necessarily the most intuitive thing in the world, but boy once set up its pretty sophisticated and can make some really cumbersome and
    • This thing is amazing
    • oh, the remote itself is small (which is a good thing) but it does mean it can be easy to lose
    • The cool thing about the hub is that it bounces the signal around so it doesn't have to be in front of or facing devices it controls, just centrally located
    • The great thing is that you can just leave it sitting out and it is POWERFUL enough to shoot the strongest IR signal anywhere & connect to wifi
    • I set this up and i couldn't figure out why this thing is so expensive
    • Coming from an older Harmony 650, this thing felt like a toy.
    • The important thing to understand is the separation of the controlling hardware from the remote
    • The thing works flawlessly, and I couldn't be happier with the purchase.
    • I lost one thing, the voice button for my Amazon Fire Stick.
    • I mean really THROW that remote at your brother to blame him for the violently loud Tampax Radiance commercials as if those things could be any less radiant before you run out of the room and start having a moderate panic attack and then the tears finally flow
    • That thing is trying to be the holy grail of all remotes and it fails miserably
    • I expect that things will continue to work as they do now and I won't need any IR repeaters to make it happen
    • The Smart Phone App is just "OK" due to the limitations imposed by soft keys instead of the real thing.
    • The thing is incredible.
    • but this thing is a NIGHTMARE to set up
    • In-Law can use this ANYBODY can use this thing! My wife usually hates all my "gadgets" but she has repeatedly said that it was the best $$$ we have ever spent on our system.
    • The worst thing about this remote is by far, the app
    • This thing barely works
    • Being able to set it up using an app, instead of USB connection with a computer, like my older Logitech remotes, makes life a lot easier (and updates quicker). The only thing I can't sue it for is Voice control for X1 and for the Shield, but I'm okay with that
    • The best thing about
    • Now even my 2 year old knows how to get Netflix on the Roku (is this a good thing?)
    • This little thing is awesome
    • First off lemme say that even though i gave this product 4 stars, I LOVE this thing
    • This was by far the most difficult thing
    • I have been using various Logitech devices over the years and this one has a lot of good things going for it
    • Where they went wrong was two fold, the system has an IR repeater so that you can set up behind a closet, or cabinet, which would normally be a good thing, the problem is two fold
    • Not the worst thing ever, but having printed icons on the buttons seems like a miss
    • You know those things that you have to do because something doesn't work right and this is the only way you can work around.
    • This thing works great with my Onkyo receiver.
    • Logitech should be ashamed to put this crappy thing out in the market to sell
    • , so you can say things like, "Alexa, turn on CNN" or "Alexa, fast forward the TV" or "Alexa, less volume on the TV"On the minus
    • It was easy to sync, and to set up the easy things
    • It's pretty inconvenient to have to manually correct the things that did not receive the proper signal.
    • Unable to return it, so wasted $70 on this useless thing
    • This thing is awesome.
    • Three days later, everyone hates the thing and it's out of the house.
    • The one thing that would make this better is lit-up control for when viewing movies in the dark.
    • so I am left with only the ability to tell Alexa to "turn on entertainment center", "turn on Tivo", "turn on FireTV" but I cannot get Alexa to do simple things like "tell Harmony to raise the volume".
    • I've done all the right things and nothing works.
    • but I have things working very well now
    • I have it configured to do a number of functions for each of the multi-buttons at the top, but the little things like button remapping to my Samsung devices are not working because this is not a universal remote as well.
    • This thing is great
    • Another thing new for me was having access to non IR devices through the hub as well
    • Really really disappointing and the main thing that's keeping me from loving this setup.
    • I love this thing
    • And we're not talking about weird things like DVD Scene, I'm talking "Volume Up" didn't get carried over from my existing remote
    • Honestly, I've owned $300.00 harmony's before, but this thing is the absolute bomb.
    • That's not just because the buttons aren't lit - for me the more important thing is that buttons are all small and indistinguishable by feel
    • This thing is worth 3 times what they are asking for it.
    • This was the greatest thing ever for less technically adept roommates, but since this is the cheap remote with no screen to display the questions, I get that I've lost the feature
    • This thing is great
    • The worst thing, though, is the short press/long press split
    • At this point, things *basically* worked, but I started to hit the next round of issues
    • outline all of the (many) negative things I have run across with it
    • So in addition to everything that the Harmony can do in terms of starting and stopping whichever activities you set up, you can now also do things like
    • so I finally got one and this thing is awesome!
    • One thing always stinks when you have multiple devices is either setting multiple sleep timers or only being able to turn off some devices
    • Nothing but great things to say at this point (4 days in)!
    • Obviously, with things spread out like this, an IR hub will have limitations
    • I would be happy if the app would allow me to program activities button by button instead of forcing me into it's wizard that is doing multiple unnecessary things.
    • It just works, and that's a hard thing to accomplish for Universal remotes.
    • This thing is great.
    • I wish I had better things to say about my experience, especially since I was looking forward to this thing playing a pretty big role in my connected home
    • You can keep things simple or your can do a lot of cool things with this remote.
    • I have 3 now and the only bad thing I can say is you can’t do the setup on a 5G WiFi you must use 2.5 and you must look deep to find
    • It does take a little patience to set up, but once you have it all dialed-in it does some really great things
    • In short, I can't say enough good things about this remote
    • If this thing were not a complete nightmare for even an IT professional to work with, I might have kept it.
    • I have heard a lot of good things, and was tired of using 2 remotes
    • so I don't know how much this adds, but I love this thing
    • It can be quite challenging to get things to work the way you want--if they work, at all
    • That's great if I need a button that's not mapped to the remote, but using a touch screen LCD while trying to not look at it is just about the dumbest thing you can do, and people who have LCD touchscreen-only remotes should feel dumb for thinking they're a good idea
    • The best thing is Alexa control of activities
    • And the good thing is that I don't have to set it up over again.
    • n’t recommend it
    • n’t find that skill, backup one huge step.
    • n’t scroll right or left, but instead press a corresponding number such as #3 for HDMI 3 or #6 for Component cable input
    • n’t work sir Samsung
    • And the fourth has been absolute hell because it won't recognize the correct I outs for a vizio TV.
    • I huess I could sacrifice one of the other buttons to accomplish what I
    • I love i!!
    • I've owned several Harmony remotes over the years, but this was the easiest and fastest I've set-up so far
