Logitech Harmony Smart Control with Smartphone App and Simple All In One Remote - Black

    • I have it controlling my Onkyo Receiver, Roku ultra, Sharp TV, XBox360, Xbox one, and my computer.
    • but we just got a new smart tv and
    • Every time I push "off" the TV IR LED flashes red, so the TV is receiving the "off" signal.
    • (Speakers wired in ceiling through the house), Sony Smart TV, AppleTV, Denon Receiver with 2 zones and Motion sensor / Room Lights with this one unit (last two via Samsung Smart Things).I think Logitech could do themselves a world of favor (and massive number of returns) by explaining how these integrate with cable boxes
    • I have a Samsung smart tv 8000 series
    • have a Vizio smart TV, DVR, surround receiver, a dvd player, and an Amazon fire TV stick.
    • This works for me except I have a 2nd TV in another room that does not "see" the repeater.
    • could not get it to work my my TV,
    • Currently we use this remote to control Xbox One, TiVo, Xbox 360, Wii U, Amazon Fire TV, PC, Sony Google TV and a Samsung Smart TV
    • Nonetheless, it also comes with an extra IR emitter on a good length cable, which can be used when your main components are in an enclosed space, yet you have other items outside e.g. TV.Consequent to a AAA battery leakage on my Yamaha amplifier remote and another on my Sharp TV remote, the replacement costs I was facing far exceeded the price of the Harmony Smart Control.
    • The solution there was to create a new activity, and they do have a Smart TV activity you can use.
    • I only have an LG smart TV and an Apple TV (both purchased in August 2016 as well), so it's not like I'm doing anything complicated, or have some antiquated technology, or expect more functionality than I would get with a basic $10 universal remote.
    • It turns on the AV receiver to correct input, TV to correct input and the Amazon Firestick.
    • I have an HTPC using WMC and HDHomerun, an AV receiver, Sharp TV.
    • Bough one for myself, and liked it so much I got it for my parents - they love it too!I use mine to control my Smart TV, Receiver, Cable Adapter, and Fire TV Stick
    • Switching from TV to DVD should not mean hearing LOUD TV static until the DVD gets a signal from the TV
    • I wanted this one because I also use a Fire TV box a lot for streaming services, along with an audio receiver, blu ray player, cable box, and of course an LED TV.
    • Despite only solving half my problems, I do like the remote, and I do like that it can be integrated with an Echo using IFTT to do things like turn the TV on and off.
    • Finally I deleted the “smart tv” option and problem was solved.
    • The hub functions as an IR blaster, and it comes with an additional blaster that you can put outside your entertainment center to control your TV, but the hub does such a good job, it's able to control my TV as well, without needing the additional blaster
    • I have a newer Vizio smart TV, a newer Yamaha receiver, a Google Chromecast, and a Tivo Premiere for OTA TV.
    • Every single other device in that room connects fine without issue (including a Vizio Smart TV, Roku Ultra, PS4, Wii U, Nintendo Switch, Steam Link, Amazon Alexa, and a TP-Link Smart Bulb), but when the Harmony Hub is directly connected to my router, it is unable to hold a stable connection, constantly either dropping inputs or requiring a power cycle to reconnect to the WiFi
    • The app remote has all the buttons you might need (even weird brand-specific buttons for my smart TV, like "M-go"), but you can't rename
    • Of course, you want that default when you are watching cable and going through the screens, but not when you are using your Smart TV functions.
    • It has a wide selection of devices that it can control, from Roku to Smart TV's, even BOSE systems.
    • Control the TV from another room [such as when my 5-year-old daughter accidentally changes the channel or mode]For these purposes, the app works well enough, although it is very "clunky," for lack of a better word.
    • I set up activities to watch TV, use Smart TV, and watch a DVD.
    • Not only will it not routinely turn the tv on and off its nearly impossible to switch inputs
    • I have a Samsung Smart TV with a Comcast cable box, a Samsung Smart Blu-Ray and a new Yamaha AV Receiver and a 5.1 speaker system connected
    • I also love that you can use the phone app to control TV as well.
    • Makes watching tv so much easier.
    • I don't use the iPhone iPad application, but if you're into that, you can set up icons on your Apple device for your favorite TV stations.
    • My TV lacks dedicated buttons for each input, but you can press menu and tap right a few times to get to the correct one
    • (I had to fix the colors on my smart TV, that required the app). All in all, very pleased and would buy again!
    • Supports all my devices (Samsung TV, Samsung soundboard, and Roku) out of the box.
    • If I position a blaster for optimal TV reception, my sound bar no longer works even though they are only inches apart.
    • One button switches the TV from DirecTV to the smart TV apps and back again
    • My goal was to consolidate remotes among a LG smart tv, WD TV hub and WDtv live, 2 apple tv's, DirecTV, Uverse and chromecast.
    • Ugh I hate my TV
    • It was easy to input the various units to control, but it took a while to sync the proper tv hdmi input to the proper activity.
    • Once set up it works perfectly to turn on and change our smart TV to play any of our three input sources without the hassle of using all those individual remotes and their wacky command requirements
    • Bit of a learning curve to get everything set up properly (I have a cheap crappy TV and it still sometimes does not get the inputs correct) but overall, it works well.
    • Despite running all activities and counter checking my devices five times, this smart control doesn’t work: it turns on some devices within the sequence but fails to turn other devices one - for example, it turns on TV but fails to turn on AVR or Apple TV
    • They also have the colored buttons (red, green, yellow and blue) which is really good as most TV and receiver remotes have those these days
    • Also, I had issues with using the remote to control my Smart TV (Netflix, Hulu, etc.
    • Blows my mind how the hub can interact with so called Smart TVs over IP for discovery but can't send a simple network packet to control anything on that TV.
    • It's pretty much just smart TVs, Roku, and SONOS.
    • This was with modern and fairly standard A/V setup (Vizio TV and Soundbar, Apple TV, Cable\DVR box, and Wii U)
    • I control my Xbox One, PS4, Directv, Vizio Smart TV, Samsung soundbar and the new Apple TV2
    • Better Apple TV interface (why not use include hot buttons to the ATV apps vs. simple remote navigationThe 890 was the best remote Logitech made (except for the buttons).
    • are programmable buttons on the remote that let me access my smart tv amazon prime video, youtube, netflix, screen zoom, the menu, the cable box guide, everything you can program
    • Wish it had DirecTV Now integration, but being able to consolidate my AppleTV, receiver, AND TV remote, great product.
    • Keep in mind that my old harmony one can still control my tv
    • My parents use theirs to control their Smart TV, Soundbar, Cable DVR, and Apple TV.Setup was fairly easy on the computer, but easier on the smartphone app
    • Also learn the commands for your activity, Alexa is not smart enough to interpret what you are asking aka "Change the channel to ABC" works "turn the TV to ABC" does not.
    • Finally I deleted the “smart tv” option and problem was solved.
    • I was able to program the top 4 color buttons to my favorite 4 tv channels and my fav 4 roku channels
    • “tv” and “smart tv” showing and for some
    • Things get more complicated with the regular remote when you are playing around with the different apps or features of the Smart TV
    • Works flawlessly with my DirectV HR54, LG LAS475B soundbar, LG 65UF7700 65-Inch 4K smart TV and my Samsung Note 8 for Bluetooth audio
    • My existing universal remote had a default setup but not with all of the buttons where missing were the smart TV app buttons
    • I think the Harmony Hub could do a lot with a more modern TV
    • I have a smart TV, DirecTV, PS3, Apple TV, and a Denon stereo receiver
    • No longer need the three remotes to work the tv, Alexa does it all
    • Not a deal breaker, but it is annoying given the price of these Harmony remotes and that Samsung TVs are among the most popular TVs on the market.
    • It has no problem controlling any of my devices independently, but when I set up and program an activity like "Watch TV" which is supposed to turn on the TV
    • Then you'll still need your Samsung TV remote handy to turn the TV off.
    • I have been VERY frustruated in the past when I couldn't figure out how to work our tv due to the complicated setup, but now I can easily understand it
    • Once correctly programmed, the remote kept setting TV to wrong input and often failed to turn TV on at all (despite clean line of sight from hub).
    • My Devices (all working well with this remote/base):- Vizio LED TV (
    • sharp 52" tv non smart
    • Worked great for about a day, now it won't control my Apple TV
    • we have to remember that the smart tv takes time to ‘think or settle’ into new commands
    • I recently got a new Samsung Smart TV
    • hub detects smart TVs via IP but has no way of controlling them via IP.
    • The setup features are good enough to select Netflix or Hulu as the choice on our new 70" 4K Vizio smart tv - so you can start right where you most use your equipment.
    • I spent hours trying to figure how to go from regular TV to Netflix or DirecTV to Netflix on our LG Smart TV
    • No issues controlling Apple TV or Samsung Smart TV
    • The TV and set-top boxes worked but the streamers were incredibly hard for the remote to configure to.
    • It works with my DIRECTV DVR, my Sharp TV, Sony sound bar, and my Amazon fire tv
    • Maybe that makes a big difference to people with smart TVs but mine isn't.
    • I walk into the room and simply say "Alexa, turn on the TV" and the TV is turned on, along with the cable box to my favorite channel and the sound system as well
    • We have a smart TV so finding a good remote is near impossible
    • then the TV wouldn't come on or my Roku would ignore it until you try over again a few times
    • The only way I could get it to work was to put the hub and IR blaster on the other side of the wall with all the devices leaving me with no way to control the TV unless I get out the monster size TV remote, which totally defeats the purpose of spending over $100 on this remote.
    • I gave my husband the remote and when he pressed the TV picture he smiled.
    • After purchasing an Amazon Echo and Dot, I went with the Logitech Harmony Smart Control for my Smart TV, satellite receiver and other AV gadgets
    • It does everything she needs it to and the fact that she can use her phone as a keyboard using the app makes her smart tv feel smarter
    • My wife can watch tv again - used it to control smart tv, blu ray player, sound bar, amazon fire stick, xbox one and house lights
    • Took me just 30 minutes to set up my activities consisting of Smart TV, Cable, FireTV, and Radio functions.5
    • and I still can't get away from being steered into making the Harmony TV control work FIRST.
    • I got this primarily to work my HTPC,Yamaha receiver and TV through Google Home
    • so i was hoping to use the remote to control adjacent bedroom TV setup, no luck.
    • When I setup Netflix and Hulu activities by choosing my FireTV in the phone app, it would start them on my smart TV instead of using the FireTV
    • BTW there is no good way to automate devices such as the Apple TV or a Smart TV with this
    • But it works with fire stick and sceptre tv well
    • so I could control my TV with HippoRemote as well.
    • I tend to use mostly streaming with a smart tv and my PS3 for blurays, I don't have cable, but the app forces you to have the number pad as the first screen, so I would have to swipe to the next page of controls every time I wanted to use it
    • Finally found a user friendly remote that works the Amazon fire TV and our other devices
    • I learned that, for us, getting a fire stick for our smart tv was a plus
    • Turns out that the TV and the AV are not totally compatible and you can not program the Harmony controller to change the setting when the devices are turned on
    • On command, so even if you construct activity just to change input, damn TV gets powered down during activity
    • n’t recommend it
    • n’t find that skill, backup one huge step.
    • n’t scroll right or left, but instead press a corresponding number such as #3 for HDMI 3 or #6 for Component cable input
    • n’t work sir Samsung
    • A/V enthusiast models.
