Logitech Harmony Smart Control with Smartphone App and Simple All In One Remote - Black

    • but this remote setup is just an annoying waste of my time.
    • This entire endeavor was a futile and a significant waste of my time
    • Attempting to contact Logitech for support is a pointless waste of time, and one is just left with a partially working remote until the next update.
    • Overall, a very disappointing purchase and a waste of money.
    • Doesn't work,waste of money !!
    • Ugh, what a waste of money and time.
    • For all the headache, all the time, all the months of being unable to use it for one of its primary intended purposes, and now the fact it’s already, after less than 8 months, failing, this remote was very overpriced and a massive waste of money
    • the remote feels high quality and comfortable in your hand and because it uses RF with the plug you do not have to worry about making sure it is pointed directly at the TV with no objects interfering as you do with IR
    • On this remote as well as on every harmony remote that works with the smart hub (at the time of this review) fast forward shares a button with the skip forward.
    • I have included photos of the remotes as well as on my Lenovo tablet and even though it has a lot of options, most of them are N/A. To make things worst, the tablet and phone do not go into sleep mode when the R/C screen is open
    • Setup is complex, but fairly intuitive as long as you don't mind some trial and error
    • So I had to operate in the dark room and it sucks as it does not have light to see the keys and also keyboard
    • After a couple of firmware upgrades it finally started to work as it should.
    • I expect that things will continue to work as they do now and I won't need any IR repeaters to make it happen
    • The customization is the real strength, the little remote may look unassuming, but you can control what nearly every button on it does and configure it to work as you want it to
    • But I'd give the unit 5 stars because it works as it's supposed to,
    • Works as it should.
    • The buttons are labeled intuitively and there are several that you can program to work as you want them to.
    • Some of the buttons worked as you'd expect (changing volume, changing channels, accessing DVR or guide, etc).
    • An important thing to mention is that the more devices you have and how they work together will largely affect how complex the setup ends up being, as well as if you are tech savvy or not
    • One complaint, I feel like the hue integration could be improved as it doesn't seem to control rooms and is missing all of the lights on my bridge
    • I jumped on this when it was on a good sale in hopes of (a) primarily so that I could just really reliably turn on and off the whole system (!) without having to precisely point the remote (IR receiver on the TV is a couple feet away from other components), (b) in hopes that maybe I really could have just "one remote to rule them all" so to speak, (c) in hopes that I could use some Alexa voice commands with the system, (d) in hopes that I could also control my IR dimmer switch in the TV room, and finally (e) in hopes of making the whole system easier and more reliable for my wife as well as for myself
    • but it doesn't quite work as
    • Plugged it back in and everything worked as it did at the beginning
    • My understanding is that this feature allows you to add the names to your favorite channels for both hot buttons on the remote/virtual remote as well as for voice usage
    • n’t recommend it
    • n’t find that skill, backup one huge step.
    • n’t scroll right or left, but instead press a corresponding number such as #3 for HDMI 3 or #6 for Component cable input
    • n’t work sir Samsung
