So, a win/win, for my needs, because the light is there when I need it, which isn't all the time, so I can have the lighting off, all day, and not use up battery juice unnecessarily.

I love the backlight illumination as this keyboard is used with a computer that lives in my large walk in closet and i rarely use the bright florescent light in the closet

Only improvement is that even connected, lights are not strong enough in a standard illuminated office.

Illuminates with enough light to allow for easy key selection, keys are "standard" size, so you don't have to re-learn their positions

The K800 is smooth, but not quite as quiet as I anticipated.

Really disappointed as I liked everything else about it.
