    Logitech M705 Wireless Marathon Mouse

    • It was fast and silent in the original model-Different plastic material in the wheel button that you depress
    • Finally they helped me disable the wheel completely and the mouse was usable but without advanced functions
    • This mouse replaces a M705 when the wheel broke - I use the wheel a lot
    • Have been using it for few weeks now and quite happy with it, the middle wheel was even sensitive enough to scroll, the wheel on my last one has some lag so there may not be any thing
    • Love the scroll wheel, and the battery really does last years even with heavy use
    • So, if you want a free-rolling wheel, do not buy this mouse.
    • love that i can get the super fast scroll wheel or incremented scroll on a low price mouse
    • The wheel rattles, which makes scrolling feel funny
    • The top wheel spins on its own like a flywheel-goes wild.
    • It has a button to release the clicks, and let it free wheel down a page or multiple page
    • It fits a large hand, smooth performance, very long lasting battery life, and great roller wheel; which is not something I would ever have thought I would say.
    • Love the super fast scroll wheel.
    • And here is why:-Great for smaller hands-3yr battery life-Buttons feel more smooth especially the scroll wheel which is of better quality-The two buttons on the left are smaller than M510 are easier to grasp with hand compared to
    • I have my right wheel click set to CTRL
    • Best mobile mouse around, a bit heavy and center wheel button a little hard to push.
    • The wheel is incredibly loose, to the point that it will scroll by simply moving the wheel
    • - the wheel broke again
    • Has the back/forward buttons, smooth or clicky wheel, and side scroll.
    • Today I received this mouse, equipped with some of my favorite features - hyper-fast, free wheeled scroll button, extra thumb buttons (this one appears to have a third thumb button by pushing vertically down, making this a 6-button mouse), large size for my ape hands, and of course wireless with slim usb dongle.
    • For another, the wheel is unreliable and hyper-sensitive for me and will scroll both up and down when I try to use it, or even when I brush it.
    • M705 is for people who like ergonomic and skillfull (2 mode wheel, and 3 programmable buttons) mouse's with long battery life and sturdy material.
    • It's not the batteries that loose in the mouse, but the stupid scroll wheel
    • Button below the wheel is a release for the wheels ratchet so it can free wheel and scroll at super high speed
    • Love the dual mode scroll wheel, so much I cant get back to the normal ones, good range, nice sensitivity and very good to hold, not too small, not too large
    • I love the free wheel!
    • The weighted free-wheeling wheel has a good feel to it at this price point -- not clunky at all -- but is occasionally sensitive to unwanted scrolling movement when the mouse is moving
    • I wish logitech got rid of the smooth scrolling gimmick, this could be why the wheel feels so loose.
    • The other issue is that sometimes the scroll wheel is completely free wheeling meaning that it only decelerates if you stop it, you could spin it just barely and it will spin for a really long time and quickly, so your applications will be zipping all over.
    • Random clicks, a faulty scroll wheel, and unwanted double clicks plagued the unit
    • It's a physical design defect and if you prefer your scroll wheel in hyper mode (versus the incessant clicking of the alternative mode), you're out of luck
    • I love the hyper-fast scroll wheel on my
    • The features I am looking for are: additional mouse button 4, and 5, tilt wheel left and right
    • Yes, you can use the free wheel to virtually fly through the virtual universe.
    • Overall there's not a lot different about it compared to other Logitech mice I've had except for the free spinning wheel
    • For another, the wheel is unreliable and hyper-sensitive for me and will scroll both up and down when I try to use it, or even when I brush it.
    • This mouse has a nice feature: free-rolling wheel
    • Regardless, it has a comfortable design, a nifty scroll wheel that lets you scroll with incremental "clicks" or lets you scroll by flicking it like the ball in a game of Golden Tee
    • Immediately first thing I felt is the wheel is very sloppy
    • You can turn the feature off; the wheel will be ratcheting like in other mice, but what’s the point of having this model then
    • UPDATEE: after using this mouse even more, the scroll wheel is almost always in a free wheel state every morning after packing it
    • Click mode or free-wheeling.
    • , it's lightweight, it's wireless, the free-scrolling wheel is so useful, the battery hasn't run out in about a year of frequent use, and it's cheap
    • Love the scroll wheel and the side buttons
    • nice mouse, the wheel feels a bit strange
    • The price for the product was pretty good and I love the mouse wheel
    • Usually love this model of mouse, but the one I got seems to have an off balance scroll wheel and rarely does the screen stay in place when I'm done scrolling in the free wheel mode (all my other ones of this model did)
    • works ok but wish the wheel was stronger, sometimes it seems to roll back, hum
    • Have been using it for few weeks now and quite happy with it, the middle wheel was even sensitive enough to scroll, the wheel on my last one has some lag so there may not be any thing
    • The benefit of having a very smooth spinning mouse wheel is that when you attempt to press the wheel down, it scrolls unless you are very precise
    • In contrast, similarly-priced mice I've had before this one would chew through batteries, fall apart over time (scoll wheels, buttons not working) and not work as well as the M705 on varied surfaces
    • I do love the battery life in this unit and the free wheel function for hyperspeed scrolling.
    • It fits my hand really well, and i love the endless scroll wheel.
    • Aside from that, the mouse is inexpensive, it has a free-wheeling scroll wheel that can be put into a normal clicking wheel state with a button press.
    • I love the fast scroll wheel.
    • It seems like the wheel will keep spinning if you move it to fast
    • You will likely find yourself inadvertently middle wheel, and left / right wheel clicking at the same time
    • The hyper fast scroll wheel is great and the customizability of the mouse keys is great.
    • I like the ability to use the scroll wheel in free wheeling mode or in the incremental clicking mode.
    • the wheel on this mouse is too loose so that lifting my finger off the wheel or even bumping the mouse a little bit causes web pages to scroll a little bit more.
    • Because the M705 left / right wheel click resistance is much less than the M510
    • The buttons are adjustable witht the software and the wheel is adjustable with the button behind it, you can make it scroll with no click to a regular click
    • Quiet scroll wheel
    • It seems very responsive, a good size for my hands, and has a better scroll wheel than previous mice I've been using
    • Wheel is nice and smooth (fast scrolling) and buttons to me are easier to press than the mx mouse
    • Love the feature of being able to switch the scrolling wheel from free wheeling to not so free wheeling
    • Satisfying click buttons and scroll wheel
    • I have purchased other Logitech MX mice for the free spinning wheel feature, and thought I could save money by purchasing this model.
    • Nothing fancy or crazy, it has the usual buttons with back and forward, along with flexible scroll wheel.
    • Love the scroll wheel with the click points or free wheeling.
    • Incredible battery life, comfortable, has back and forward side buttons which are very useful, and the fast scroll wheel is a feature I can't live without since I've gotten used to it.
    • Behind the scroll-wheel is a small button that rests between your fingers that changes the scroll-wheel from a more clicky movement to a smoother, free-wheeling motion
    • It's probably the least precise scroll wheel I've ever used
    • I love the free-wheeling mouse wheel!
    • (ie. if you set middle click to ALT TAB, and left click to ALT F4, you'll likely end up closing a program instead of changing to the next one.)The M510 mouse, that I purchased on Amazon nearly 3 years ago, started right wheel clicking intermittently, rather than consistently (I tried blowing it clean, with very temporary results)
    • The free-spinning wheel is kind of fun, and the mouse is very versatile on different surfaces.
    • This one is much bigger in my hand, the wheel is smooth but not as smooth as the 4000, I do not like the clicking sound that it
    • I turned it all the way down on my Mac, and it's still a little faster than I'd like, and I like a fast scrolling wheel
    • Finger reaches the wheel and mouse is comfortable in the hand
    • The wheel acts as a button as well as a scroll wheel and is special for two reasons: not only does it allow side-scrolling (left-right), it also has a button underneath to allow for Quantum Scrolling (I just made that term up), by which you basically take the breaks off and zoom through feeds and timelines like you're a photon traveling through empty space
    • Unless you really need a free rolling scroll wheel I wouldn't consider this mouse.
    • PERFECT.Forward/Back/Left/Right/Wheel & Wheel click still work fine
    • I use the scroll wheel in free-wheel mode
    • Very comfortable to use, very good scroll wheel, and love the back/forward buttons on the side.
    • The free scrolling wheel feels good, though many programs do not react well to its use.- Contours to the hand nicely for many
    • The wheel doesn't feel as heavy as the MX (cheaper materials no joke)
    • The logitech free spin wheel is unlike anything else on the market and this feature puts this product above the rest at this price point
    • Only problem is recent models have an unbalanced wheel and will coast unexpectedly when in free wheel mode.
