i actually have to buy a new mouse after 3 months this is a crappy item

Not pleased, but item seems to work for now so too much trouble to send it back and try to get another in NEW condition when I currently have only a wired standard mouse to use because my last M570 left click button became unresponsive.

Love these trackballs, but I use them all day long and have to buy a new one every two years or so.

After using the ball for a month or so, it becomes apparent it's made of paper mache or some inferior material as it hangs on the points it's supposed to roll around on

My only real gripe is that the wireless signal isn't strong enough to work flawlessly when the receiver is plugged into the opposite side of the computer.

(yes im guilty and learned from experience on previous models), you'll ruin it in short order, if you game although this is a great mouse for that you'll tend to be rough on buttons as well and the switches may get buggy on you if your rough with them, other than that if you have a light touch and use it regular-like it will last a loooong time ...... and #2 you do need to pull the ball and wipe out the socket every so often, maybe once a month .. battery life is good, no problems there ..
