Unfortunately, after checking Logitech's web site I learned this model only has a 3 year warranty which expired for me less than two months ago.
-
Alas, my last one died after many good years of service
-
The most recent failure didn't last a full year, and that was a replacement for another trackball of this kind that failed after two years
-
First one I bought lasted about a year before it started jittering and just being glitchy
-
This is the only tech product I've found that's 5 years old and still the best
-
I'll never go back to a traditional mouse again, I use it everyday for almost a year now and what a great mouse, no issues.
-
Very disappointed this mouse only last 1.5 years.
-
Maybe if I replace switches I can get a solid year or more from these things

My first one lasted 2 years until the primary (left button) microswitch failed

i dont use normal mice any more.yes, the microcontroller that manages the left click may die over time, but ive had 3 of these, and the oldest one lasted over 3 years before i had any issues with double clicking.

My ancient, corded, Logitech Trackman with the red ball, same basic design as this one, finally failed - aftar 15+ years!

when you do you'll be wondering what you were doing with a traditional mouse all these years!
-
Thankfully they lowered the price so the fact you'll be lucky if it lasts the year isn't as bad
-
Good Mouse seems like it does what it's supposed to do but about 2 or 3 years it's gone
-
I had to retrain my brain and fingers, which wasn't too difficult, and so far I've gotten another year's worth of service out of it.
-
Works exactly as I expected
-
After using the ball for a month or so, it becomes apparent it's made of paper mache or some inferior material as it hangs on the points it's supposed to roll around on
-
But after a few years either plan on replacing it or soldering in new switches as they tend to fail and you

Never thought I would like a
-
Works as it should.
-
Even with fresh batteries it would be jumpy and glitch as if the laser mechanism could not see the ball was moving
-
so i decided to try something new, and i got a mechanical keyboard which i liked a
