I suppose if you have limited space for a mouse (like on an airplane) then this might come in handy

I also do a lot of video editing and not needing to waste space on my desk to accommodate scrubbing forward and backward on video timelines with a normal mouse...definitely glad to be using a trackball vs. a mouse

Limited moving space, or how I use it in bed to watch Youtube and Netflix, where I can't use a normal mouse.

Trackballs are particularly convenient for people using laptops who aren't comfortable with touchpads, especially in cramped spaces where there is not enough flat space next to the computer to move a mouse around freely

it is made a little lighter than I would like being something that sits still looked like it could have used I a few grams of weigh in bottom just to help with staying put but the rubber feet does what they are suppose It is great to have a trackball back though the space where my mouse normally goes is limited on

When space is limited and you don't have a square foot to move a mouse around this is the best option plus it's extremely comfortable for your hand.

My computer has ample RAM, hard drive space, processor, operating system, etc

I don't have enough space on my desk to use an actual mouse, but this one stays in one spot and gives me maximum efficiency , operation ability and comfort.

After using the ball for a month or so, it becomes apparent it's made of paper mache or some inferior material as it hangs on the points it's supposed to roll around on

But after a few years either plan on replacing it or soldering in new switches as they tend to fail and you

Even with fresh batteries it would be jumpy and glitch as if the laser mechanism could not see the ball was moving

so i decided to try something new, and i got a mechanical keyboard which i liked a
