On medium power, repeaters 45 miles away give me a "10" signal strength and voice clarity score

The mic has great controls, and the included software/cable make it easy to program

It's small size is amazing, for the number of functions, features, and power, I expected a much larger case size

I've checked out all the major brands, and this radio is superior in design and quality, at a much more reasonable price

Bought the UHF version of this radio and loved it!

It is not overwhelmingly loud but it is there and noticeable when using it in a quiet area such as a base station.

People were discussing range; with a 18" Mag Mount Mobile Antenna at 8' on a metal roof I use a repeater 30 miles away daily on low power (10w) with very good reports on the signal

With that said it is a valuable asset to me now that I've had some time to get used to it.
