In fact, the squeaking is so bad I'm throwing mine in the trash

It could be that my spraying a light lubricant inside the unit to stop an annoying squeak may have caused the rubber piece to warp

The squeaking is often louder than the piano itself, which obviously makes this an essentially worthless accessory for a piano

I had to open up the unit and fiddle with it to eliminate an annoying squeak with every foot press, but now it's perfectly silent.

After less than 2 months, pressing the pedal down created a terrible awful squeaking sound.

The squeak is usually at "I can ignore it" levels for live shows, but if you're in the studio it's a no-no

It works as it should and it has not broken yet.

Had to have it rewired at least 5 times, both at the pedal end of the cord as well as at the plug end to the keyboard itself.
