Great concept, but when I adjusted the base to fit my cupholder, the base would push up from the back and tilt the holder forward leaving me with a tilted and unstable holder.

You can take it out and use it in other cars with relative ease (remember to rotate it out, don't pull it), I'd just recommend buying a spare (very inexpensive).The holder has a nice grip and keeps the phone from moving around (can also be adjusted) plus allows space to run wires on the sides

I didn't purchase my Macally Adjustable Automobile Cup Holder Mount from Amazon, but I LOVE how it conformed to my odd design cup holders in my Ford F150 XLS 5.4.

When I am parked, it's a great holder for texting and reading e-mails.

So far no issues with the phone bouncing out or the holder coming loose going over bad roads.

I use Waze everywhere I go and this is the perfect holder!

Have to compress the side holders hard to get the iPhone 8 to sit snugly, Just a little loose but still safe if you don't want to squeeze hard

The holder is a little bulky so one should make sure there is plenty of room for installation

The holder breaks down into 2 pieces that fit in your glove box.
