Great idea, but I have a pull-out slot tray in the dash of my 1998 Subaru Impreza RS and it doesn't fit snugly.

I use a hands free speaker in the car and used to try to balance phone on my thigh...bad idea
But the problem is it's too low so looking down is not a good idea, right?

I have tried everything, window suction cups, vent clips and the like and nothing held my phone as well as this holder.
It's an automatic, and P-R-N-D work fine, but flipping the shifter over to select-shift mode is a pain with the phone holder.
I was looking for a way to secure my cell, but not using those "vent" type clips
exactly what I was looking for since i did not want to stick anything onto my dash and the vent clips were scratching up my vents and are not strong enough to hold my i6s.
Holding up better than the suction cup ones Ive had as well as the vent clips
