The photos make it look like the base to craddle is flexible and can be bent to adjust for better visibility--WRONG

Sturdy construction, easy release, and stable base make for an excellent holder in my truck.

When I need to, I can quickly and easily squeeze the release buttons with one hand and the arms extend so I can grab the phone (to answer a phone call if I don't have my bluetooth or when I'm getting out).The phone is very secure in this mount and the mount itself is very secure in the cup holder thanks to the adjustable base
