    • Works perfectly as a monitor for your home studio if you own an external audio interface

    • In a nutshell, these are very nice computer speakers, or fairly decent monitors for someone on a tight budget.
    • Great reference monitors at the price.
    • While an absolutely "flat" response is impossible for any monitor, I was quite surprised that these seem to be on-par with far more expensive monitors I've used in the past
    • These are fantastic studio monitors for the price
    • For the size and price, these are fantastic desktop monitors

    • These monitors are wonderful for game immersion, and excellent for music
    • EXCELLENT monitors
    • They worked great except the active monitor had a rattle, as if the woofer was defective or something inside was loose
    • Many steps above the computer speakers/monitors available at the local electronics stores, including the big name brands.
    • Absolutely love these, they're probably not the most "accurate" studio monitors out there, as other reviewers have noticed, but at the sub-$100 price point, I would take these over a comparable M-Audio any day
    • These are some compact monitors, which I like because they fit in my small A/V studio
    • Decent monitor speaker but wouldn't recommend them.
    • These monitors are exceptionally smooth in their frequency response

    • Overall if you don't care about bass much or don't mind adding a sub, these are decent monitors considering how cheap they are.
    • good studio monitors.
    • But these would work as budget reference monitors and are quite good as personal monitors for tracking/playback in a small home studio
    • 4 inch Subwoofer - 66w RMSLast of all, these monitors also came with foam to put up underneath to minimize vibration, but i wouldn't bother with it because they aren't as dense as other isolation pads, but its better to use them rather than none at all
    • Perfect monitors for studio film mixing.
    • Passing through cross over and back out to left passive monitor
    • The internal amp is definitely blown again, I leave the monitors on 24/7 which the manual doesn't say it's outside of the normal use
    • The Mackie CR5BT is a great Studio Monitor for home use
    • ow have great sounding monitors, a professional office and dont look like my daughter painted my speakers with Halloween fingernail polish!

    • I generally like these monitors, but within a few weeks of use at low levels, the speaker with the inputs and controls developed a rattle as if something had worked itself loose internally
    • Excellent speakers/monitors for the money, and I've very satisfied with my purchase
    • They provide accurate monitoring for efficient mixing
    • not enough consumer speakers/monitors do that.
    • But if you're looking for a pair of easy monitors without as much punch, I'd recommend these
    • They really are very good speaker/monitors.
    • Had you asked me a year ago whether I would recommend these monitors I would have said definitely
    • Decent monitor speaker but wouldn't recommend them.
    • The active monitor rattles
    • Great studio monitors
    • Nice monitors for a home studio
    • cant get past half volume till they clip, kind of a carboard bassy end, they are look a like studio monitors that are really just speakers
    • If you want the bass to punch, these aren't for you, but in that case, neither are any accurate studio monitors
    • If you are balls deep into audio, these may not be the answer for you but they are great starter monitors for at home production or just casual listening
    • I think I'll record that and play it back to myself in crystal clear sound through my sick Mackie monitors
    • These monitors are fantastic for the price, I am very satisfied with the quality, and they're far better than i expected.
    • That's why good monitors cost good money

    • These monitors are absolutely incredible
    • Great monitors for the price.
    • I received my Creative Monitor Speakers, quickly unboxed them, and added these speakers to my home studio setup
    • To give you an idea of how quiet these monitors are, they get less than half as loud as the M-Audio AV30 which is only 20Watts and also a 3" driver.
    • Very good monitors especially at this price
    • BUTAside from the bass not being as I expected, they're an excellent pair of monitors for anyone who just needs a pair of cheap and easy monitors
    • , etc.)For studio monitors they aren't completely transparent and don't have a razor flat frequency response, but if you already have good ears and experience with recording then these are great "B" monitors or primary monitors if it's for home recording and demos, etc
    • I use these for mixing music replacing my long-dead M-Audio monitors destroyed when my toddler punched the cones in
    • I wanted to buy a pair of inexpensive monitors to run my 'quiet' music setup in my office

    • So if you want studio monitors, you may need to spend ALOT more well designed/balanced monitors ofcourse, and if you want just multimedia speakers, Theres many cheaper options with WAY better sound balance
    • non passive monitor not working
    • I had these speakers for 18 months before they failed, before that they were good monitors.
    • With the caveat that I'm not a serious audiophile, but know enough to be dangerous..I love these monitors and would highly recommend
    • I really love these monitors.
    • nice monitor speaker at home.
    • Mackie should not market this as a clear sounding monitor with good bass response because it is not
    • These little suckers are fantastic, bright, undervalued monitors
    • Awesome monitors!
    • They may not be the best reference monitors, but for the money and the amount of space they take
    • Highly recommended over more expensive and ubiquitous "white" paper coned recording studio monitors and/or the rhymes for "bonus" wireless home sound systems
    • They are nice little monitors, especially for the price

    • These little suckers are fantastic, bright, undervalued monitors
    • Excellent home studio monitors
    • Love the Mackie CR4, can beat the price, really can't afford $1000 dollar reference monitors
    • My budget was $200 and luckily you can get some really great studio monitors for this price, such as these Mackie CR4's
    • I was worried about them not getting loud enough and not having enough low end, but they are totally adequate and a great little monitor for my home recording studio.
    • I'm not sure what anyone could expect to be better for a pair of powered 3" monitors for $99.
    • Excellent monitors
    • These monitors are awesome!
    • Super high quality monitors
    • I had these speakers for 18 months before they failed, before that they were good monitors.
    • USed to be into more expensive monitors but these are a great addition to my office computer rig
    • When I remove the speakers from the package, the passive monitor has a slight defective on the enclosure but doesn't effect the sound.
    • Now, I'm not saying this monitor set surpasses a larger (and more expensive) speaker setup
    • i loved these monitors.
    • Definitely great monitors for the price
    • But besides that.. Amazing monitors,
    • As the proud owner of a pair of Mackie HR824 studio monitors which have been trouble-free for over 13 years, I decided to get Mackie's smallest and most affordable "monitors" for background music at work
    • I'm really at a loss because these are supposed to be decent quality monitors, yet my half broken, 15 year old Logitech computer speakers, 3 piece incl 10" woofer, sound arguably
    • These monitors are ideal for someone in an apartment situation or parents house and don't want to wake up Aunt Vivian from sleep.2
    • VERY good quality monitors, especially for the price.

    • These are great entry level monitor speaker.
    • Great monitors for the size and price, good frequency response all around
    • backward M-Audio.(3) The most important of all the sound is amazingly CLEAR and faithfully FLAT
    • I replaced some old M-Audio speakers that just died on me.
    • These units replaced a pair of 4" M-Audio speakers, which my 4 year old broke by experimenting with connections.
    • I use these for mixing music replacing my long-dead M-Audio monitors destroyed when my toddler punched the cones in
    • Solidly built, excellent sound, all the I/O options you need, they come complete with cables, sound insulating pads, and have a nice option to "flip" the powered side to left or right
    • This is annoying, especially if your best headphones are open-back- Half the time I use the speakers, theydo not work due to a really cheap L/R selector switch.
