Their strong and hold to steel very well

All of my kitchen tools are made of stainless steel, so they're not as light as plastic

I have a large stainless steel range hood that I like to keep some of my kitchen tools (colander, large ladles, etc.) hanging from.

I wasn't positive they would be strong enough to hold on the stainless steel with the weight of a colander hanging from one of them, but I didn't really want to go with a bigger size hook.

I think some of the people that have bad experiences with any magnetic hooks may not be using them on a suitable surface of appropriate thickness quality steel
