I think the sound is decent considering the price, but you do have to tune it pretty much every day.

The only comparison I can tell is that this ukulele has a very bright tone, while a more expensive ukulele has a warm, rich sound.

Even if I play right over the hole the sound does improve but it still too soft and not happy or joyful sound.
