Marantz Professional MPM-1000 | Cardioid Condenser Microphone with Windscreen, Shock Mount & Tripod Stand (18mm / XLR Out)

    • I usually record instrumentals and use a cheap dynamic mic.
    • It won't beat a Neumann costing 10-20 times as much, but if you're on a budget, this mic may be worth a look.
    • I can't fault the mic, but this makes it less desirable for our already tiny (i.e. a former linen closet that has been converted) sound booth
    • Very good mic for the price and looks very professional
    • For any entry level producer this mic is excellent, completely plug and play with my interface
    • Overall, the Marantz Professional MPM-2000 Condenser Mic is probably the best mic budget-wise under $200 that I have worked with in terms of recording vocals
    • The mic is a touch bulky, so normally I wouldn't use this for portable purposes, but it comes with a sturdy travel case that gives you good peace of mind if you want to haul it around with you
    • This mic is ideal for that
    • Awesome mic for the price!
    • This is a great mic for the price.
    • I usually record instrumentals and use a cheap dynamic mic.
    • This is a perfect Mic for Podcasting if you are on a budget or you are looking for a Mic that offers you great sound to the recorder but won't break the bank
    • With that added cost, the mic is no longer cheaper than the others I mentioned above.
    • While I like the mic and am not entirely sure if I was suppose to get an XLR cable with it, that is not why I am knocking a star off of it
    • This is a good mic for the price
    • Surprisingly good quality for such an inexpensive mic
    • I would not be able to tell from the results that this is a relatively inexpensive cardiod mic.
    • If you plan to use this in a PA system, I would recommend making sure you have clear separation from your audience, otherwise a plain old uni-directional dynamic mic might offer less hassle
    • Great mic for beginners like myself.
    • Really great mic with any mixer this mic will sound wonderful
    • The Rode is a great mic, but, at $275, it's a bit of overkill.

    • This mic is great
    • The sound quality was excellent (I especially liked the vocals) although I can’t say it exceeded my other mics
