This is medium-fine granular carbon for fish tank filters.

This carbon is the dustiest most disintegrated carbon I have ever used

Other activated carbons have been better about this.

Marineland activated carbon may be a bit more expensive than other brands, but the granules are more consistently sized and smaller and are therefore function better, and this carbon contains far less carbon dust than other brands I've tried.

Another method for good results is to make a simple, cheap carbon reactor for the sump tank by using a very small powerhead pump (I use an Aquatop brand) and a common disposable (er, recyclable) plastic drinking water bottle 12 oz.
