Martin M1400 Marquis Silk & Steel Folk Acoustic Strings, Light

    • Great tone not as tingey as bronze strings with smoother action
    • These strings killed the tone of my guitar.
    • what i use and like for my 016ny and 00015S played fingerstyle, i like the tone and tension of these strings
    • As an added bonus, these strings produce a gorgeous, mellow sound that I absolutely love when compared to the harsh, metallic tone of other strings I've used
    • I like the feel and tone produced by these strings
    • Crisp, clear tones and the chords sound great
    • Very smooth and great tone!
    • They deliver a nice quiet folky tone that is just beautiful for simply fingerstyle or fingerstyle accompaniment to my (or my fiancee's) singing
    • Beautiful tone and easy on the fingers.
    • I've used Martin marquis for years because I prefer the tone they produce.
    • I really like the tone and feel of these strings
    • In addition to being easy on the fingers, they have a nice tone
    • The result is a string that is more pliable and produces a nice soft plunky tone
    • If you're a fan of The Avett Brothers or City and Colour or any bands like that these make for almost perfect tones
    • The strings make a bad guitar easier to fret and make a nice bright tone, which I love
    • This surprised me as these are supposed to have a "softer, more mellow" tone (which is why I bought these
    • They do sound a bit more crisp straight out of the pack, but they will lose some tone with only a little bit of playing
    • The lower/wrapped strings have a nice warm tone, but the higher/plain steel strings are a stark contrast
