when you first put them on, they have a nice mellow tone to them, not as bright as phosphor bronze, at least to my ears, and 2) the break in is shorter, I put them on and with a minimum of fuss (stretching strings out as they are put on and then stretching them to change tuning pitch slightly), you can tune them and they are relatively stable

Not as bright as Phosphor Bronze (which is what I wanted), mellow sounding from the start and last about 3 weeks with daily playing.
