As with most "smart" things, this is quite dumb as a light fixture because it doesn't allow the the light to shut off if the camera is on.

I love this thing

when it says there's motion it takes several attempts to see a live feed making these cheap things DEAD ON ARRIVAL, if they can't even let me see what caused the motion sensor to go off at 3am what is their value.

Those things are not cheap, so I cannot afford go out and keep testing them

However the things it does record are very fun to watch sometimes

After months of fighting with Kuna, i received a new one and same thing happend.. not worth it

I have sensitivity at 100% and the damn thing doesn't detect what it's supposed to detect 70% of the time

Other than those two awful things, I love this

I bought this for security but if it goes offline all the time, this thing is useless

The sensitivity issues I had when I first bought the lamp are a thing of the past and I hardly ever get false alerts

Even if it was reliable, having the ability to start a recording is a good thing because any event might be out of range of the motion detector, but you still want/need to record the event.6.

Still, if we're home we certainly have extra protection and that's a good thing.

With all the "smart home" integration of devices like this, it seems Kuna is keeping this thing proprietary to themselves, which is frustrating to me as I'm in the market for smart home control, but want Kuna as part of it

I have taken off one star because of how hard it can be to see at night, other than that this thing is awesome!

One more important thing for the buyers of this product

Normally when a fixture wasn't to heavy I would just make my ground connection and wrap the ground from the fixture around the ground screw and let it hang ( probably not the best thing to do to the fixture)

When it goes offline when I am home I can reset iT when I am away from home the only thing that has worked is to delete the app and reinstall, and that does not work all the time.

The best thing I've bought for my home

At a price point of $200, this thing should work flawlessly

Needless to say, my home setup is robust enough to run 20+ IoT devices and several PCs and many other smart things

Regarding the need for the expensive annual premium subscription - it is not needed unless you aren't able to monitor your videos regularly as you can simply download and save what you need, taking care to review things before they expire.
