I highly recommend a good tire brush to help break free stubborn brake dust and grime as a simple rinse on and rinse off application usually leaves something desired.

So, basically you wet the rim, spray this on, wait 15 seconds and then scrub the rim with a long haired soft brush

I always end up breaking out the chenille wash sponge and rim brush to get the built up gunk off of the wheel

I bought the Hot Rims cleaner and a tire cleaning brush

Note:Please buy a wheel cleaning brush which is small and easy to get in between the rims to get the dust out

Needs to be used with a soft brush - spraying this on and then hosing it off without brushing would be a waste of time and money.

(Before I decided to take care of everyhing on the car myself)Now to be fair, I recently also used it on a more aggressive handling car (i.e. I was able to drive it harder and subsequently brake harder when necessary) and it required me to use a brush to work it in.

Use it weekly on my Lexus GS and Audi A4, this thing works effortlessly, I simply spray let it sit for 4 mins,brush with a soft wheel brush and rinse

I use a wheel cleaning brush and it cuts through the brake dust with little effort.

Wet the wheels, apply the product, let sit for 15 seconds, agitate with a (soft) brush, rinse (and repeat)

I use this and a soft bristled bench brush on all of my wheels.

Use a soft abrasive brush if your wheels have lot of brake dust settled on the wheels

a few minutes then take a soft brush or a sock and wipe the brake dust off and then hose it down

I scrubbed them with a stiff tire brush using simple green cleaner

they say its no scrub, but i think if you scrub it with a good wheel brush, its even better!!!!!!!!!!!

Ultimately you will need a chair, a brush and soapy water to really clean the brake dust off
