If your considering buying this drum then wait no longer, the only hesitation i made was deciding whether to get this one or the slightly more pricey meinl snare bongo cajon, but i wanted a solid wood drum, no holes drilled for adjustment screws, completely

So don't think it is the drum's fault if, right out of the box, it doesn't sound like the demo videos you've seen and heard

Despite all of that, you can make them sound alot like regular bongos too, so not a bad drum for beginners although it takes some time to find all of the numerous sweet spots
