To answer your question, no, this is *nowhere* as compelling as the Metal Gear Solid series.

If you cannot get a hold of Kojima's version this is a poor substitute but better then never experiencing the origin of the now blockbuster Metal Gear series.

However for a taste of the stealth aspect that has now made the Metal Gear Solid series so wonderful, it's interesting to see a sneak preview of a similar type of gameplay on the NES.

Overall,if you wanna enjoy the original "Metal Gear",how it was meant to be
