Samus Aran still trying to destroy the infamous blood-sucking parasite known as the Metroid

More story-extensive than anything (that is, until Corruption), Samus was infected by a strange parasite known as X while on SR 388

For starters, this takes place AFTER "Super Metroid" and adds a new wrinkle to story by creating a new nemesis called 'parasite X' which was able to procreate after our hero, Samus, wiped out all of the Metroids on SR 388.

The threat is the X parasite that also lives on the planet Zebes.

The X parasite attacked Samus and infected her power suit, forcing the scientists to remove large portions of it, severely altering her appearance

As Samus, the federation bounty hunter outfitted in a unique power suit, you come into contact with the deadly "X Parasite" while exploring the surface of an alien planet, which latches itself onto your body

This parasite is a menace to the entire universe and all traces of it on SR 388 and the orbital research lab must be destroyed.

as you destroy enemies, their X parasites can be absorbed for energy, weapons re-fill, etc.an X parasite that is not absorbed may re-absorb into a new enemy, or strengthen an existing enemy

Not a problem except that the X parasite replicates what it attacks, and there is now a Samus clone out

But now, Samus got the horrible X Parasite into her suit which prevents her from exiting it

There's always parts of the Metroid series that kind of confused me as to why I like it

I am thoroughly confused as to how this game rates so highly
