This may not have been as good as the first Metroid Prime in my opinion, but it's still and amazing game
-
Now that I've played it, I have to say, I don't think it's as good as the first Metroid Prime.
-
Now the Metroid is back on another planet on the brink of collapse(Samus sure seems good at finding these), where dark symbiotes called the Ing are destroying a proud civilization.
-
Good Metroid hunting!
-
I will also agree with EGM's Shane that the plot seems like more of a Rare-style fetch quest than the average Metroid game, and nowhere near the incredible Metroid: Fusion plot.
-
After the surprisingly enjoyable Metroid Prime I was expecting good things from the sequel
-
The Gamecube has always had poor graphics, but Metroid's look as good if not better than many PS2 and xbox games
-
I also played the Metroid on the very first gameboy, until someone stole it
-
Everyone's favorite Bounty Hunter heroine Samus successfully defeats the Metroid but it manages with a dying gasp to suck her Phazon suit away as well as some of her DNA, gradually morphing into what will become Dark Samus
-
The Gamecube has always had poor graphics, but Metroid's look as good if not better than many PS2 and xbox games
-
B-Overall this is still a great Metroid game, it will provide tons of hours of fun
-
the first Metroid was fun and didn't have a 1-4 player mode
-
If for some reason you have never played Metroid at all, then I STRONGLY suggest playing Metroid (NES) and Super Metroid (SNES
-
and the standard metroid prime moves like power beam, missles, double jump, bomb, and power bomb
-
Metroid always resonated with me since Super Metroid completely blew my mind over a decade ago.
-
Same old, same old, remixed Metroid classics that are replayed over and over
-
Go buy MP2:Echoes, beat it, and prove my review wrong, if you must, any metroid-hating fan.
-
Also, you're right, you can't compare Killzone and Halo, to Metroid PRIME 2, since Metroid is obviously superior in many ways
-
And the trend of missiles becoming increasingly worthless, as started with "Super Metroid," officially ended with this game.
-
Metroid's reputation as a moody, lonely, and eerie game series was rather iffy in Prime 1
-
I am an old school gamer, and I beat the first Metroid on NES as well as Super Metroid in the SNES
-
fans of Prime will love Echoes, just as i do.there are still numerous things to scan and you are awarded with nifty and interesting bonuses and secrets depending on how much you get scanned.
