Hunted by a mysterious entity and a warring race called the Ing, Samus Aran must explore the light and dark worlds of this doomed planet to discover secrets and augment her suit's weapons and abilities. And now, for the first time...
The videos in this game made it feel a bit more like an interactive movie than the previous game
I love every bit of this game and would recommend it to anyone and everyone
While some people have complained about the areas being a bit "boring," well, that's a matter of opinion.
fans of Prime will love Echoes, just as i do.there are still numerous things to scan and you are awarded with nifty and interesting bonuses and secrets depending on how much you get scanned.
I can't stand this game I find it stupid you have to switch between the light and dark worlds and then back track at certain points in the game not to mention the enemies on here are annoying as
I like all the Metroid games even the Other M. Product arrived in good condition, works well and provides good game play
there are 2 really good games i have played in the last 2 weeks metroid prime and pikmin 2 so far those have been the best games i have played since halo even though thats not gamecube metroid prime
Samus is supposed to jump high and use the screw attack, this Samus barely gets off the ground, it's like a fat-person playing hopscotch
Metroid Prime 2 is the sequal to one of the best games I've ever played on the gamecube, It was criticly acclaimed as a "masterpiece" "amazing" and "Spectacular"
still, great storyline, amazing graphics, and new weapons
The graphics are probably some of the best I've ever seen and the storyline is great
The graphics are incredible (Samus and her ship are SO much sharper and more detailed than in MP1), the storyline is way cool, and the game in general is challenging and *REALLY* fun to play
Other than this it's a darn-cool game and unlike past Metroids, has a decent+ storyline.
Since I don't want to spoil the storyline, thats as far as i'll go
The "light" side is pretty much normal, but traveling to the "dark" side subjects Samus to dangerous atmospheric conditions that slowly drain your health unless you stand near a light beacon.
Running very good, really feels store bought, great condition, no scratches noticeable, like new, good price, better than expected, thank you!
I like all the Metroid games even the Other M. Product arrived in good condition, works well and provides good game play
It was scratched despite the listing be listed as "Good Condition"
bought this and it was in good condition when i got it.
Go buy MP2:Echoes, beat it, and prove my review wrong, if you must, any metroid-hating fan.
Now that I've played it, I have to say, I don't think it's as good as the first Metroid Prime.
I also played the Metroid on the very first gameboy, until someone stole it
Now the Metroid is back on another planet on the brink of collapse(Samus sure seems good at finding these), where dark symbiotes called the Ing are destroying a proud civilization.
This may not have been as good as the first Metroid Prime in my opinion, but it's still and amazing game
The sound and music are awesome, and the music especially stands as an improvement over Prime 1
Graphics are awesome, sound is great, multiplayer could be better, overall great game
Prime 2's tracks, however, are all mysterious sounding, eerie, and toned down just right to bring forth the right feelings
Some real 5.1 sound would be good, but the dolby digital is impressive (try a high-def tv and 5.1 system with bass up in a dark room if you want full effect.
I have gotten to play the demo disk and trust me this game is the best improved graphics, better sound, new
The graphics, if it can be possible, are more stunning than the first
It has great graphics, a fun story, and you really feel like you're kicking [...] playing Samus ;)
I can't stand this game I find it stupid you have to switch between the light and dark worlds and then back track at certain points in the game not to mention the enemies on here are annoying as
It has great graphics, an engrossing story, and a solid multiplayer.
As if all of this is not enough, the graphics can not be put in any terms but completely amazing
And maybe I'm just looking in the wrong circles, but I haven't met a single person who disliked the first Metroid Prime.
This quibbles aside, "Metroid Prime 2: Echoes" still stands strong next to its older brethren and more than leaves the diehard Samus Aran fan's appetite whetted for future installments.
This may not have been as good as the first Metroid Prime in my opinion, but it's still and amazing game
If you didn't like the original Metroid Prime you probably won't like this one either
IF NOT better then the Original Prime', it's longer, better, the visuals have bin abit tweaked, new visors, new puzzles to solve and so on.
It has better graphics than the previous game and a better story line
people will be turned off by the game seeing how its like Completley different compared to prime 1, mainly because alot of people didn't like the story for prime 2
Everything wrong with metroid prime 2i love the game for its theme, the art and story but what i dont like is all the crap that ruins itProsThe Light vs Dark atmospherethe story, history and lorethe armor and weaponssome
This is the longest Metroid I have ever played, and unfortunately there wasn't enough story to keep it going for the 15 hours
Aside from the game not having enough story to compliment its overall length the vast areas to explore are so strikingly beautiful, and massive that it will take a great deal of time to get bored with what you're looking at
The Ing, the main enemies of the game are equally impressive and are sometimes very difficult to bring down at the game's start
fans of Prime will love Echoes, just as i do.there are still numerous things to scan and you are awarded with nifty and interesting bonuses and secrets depending on how much you get scanned.
samus comes back investagating the bravo teams disapperance and find a friendly race but the dark creatures called the ING are trying to destroy them
The Ing, the main enemies of the game are equally impressive and are sometimes very difficult to bring down at the game's start
It gives you this feel of isolation and is a challenge for those who are into Collecting items and Bashing the ING
As far as the puzzles within the game itself, they are brilliant.
You'll have to go back and forth between the two worlds, solve puzzles, kill things, jump, shoot, and a patridge in a pear tree.
As for aquiring more ammo and health, you'l have to solve some ridiculous puzzles, and go way off to nowhere to find them
I consider Echoes a FPS not in the classical sense, but in the modern sense, as most or all FPS now stress platforming, intricate puzzle-solving involving more than just flipping switches, third-person gameplay mechanics, and a couple other commonalities besides all-out run and gun battles.
The puzzles are very challenging yet not so hard that you can't finish them without some thought
the dark suit is not as good as the light suit but it is easier to get
samus gets new items and weapons such as the light suit and the dark suit, the light beam and the dark beam and even screw attack
Most Metroid games its Varia and Gravity suit, this one introduces the dark and light suit, and both are awesome
The game has some new items to add to Samus's arsenal including the dark and echo visors, the sunburst, darkbust, dark beam, light beam, annihilater beam, gravity boost, screw attack, sonic boom, dark suit, light suit, and seeker launcher
Since the atmospere of dark aether is poison samus needs to get a special dark suit to survive
killing foes with the light beam awards dark ammo, and killing foes with the dark beam awards light ammo.
The new beams are really powerful and the ammo offsets that.
The 1-4 player mode is very fun, for the fact that you can get hacking to people, the light beam , the dark beam, the annililator beam, and the death ball which is a really cheap weapon
samus gets new items and weapons such as the light suit and the dark suit, the light beam and the dark beam and even screw attack
worse yet the ammo can only be replenished is certain conditions are met (IE to get light beam ammo you have to kill with the dark beam.
Light aether is the remnant of how aether was before the metor but the monstrous creatures called the Ing horde were born
These dark creatures are much stronger and often require a new strategy then their light counterpart
These dark creatures are much stronger and often require a new strategy then their light counterpart
Many creatures dwarf Samus and like the worlds, there are dark versions of most enemies
Metriod prime was a total blow out horrible game, all u do is jump platform to platform and u kill bosses and if u die u go about 2 hrs back b4 u started and that=no fun
Nintendo! You explore the same areas that you do in the light world (for the most part) however the atmosphere is incredibly creepier and lonelier in the dark world.
Dark Aether is depressing, lonely, and conveys a real sense of danger as throughout the bulk of the game you're running around between spheres of light to escape the poisonous atmosphere
All in all the MP2E is a solid First Person Adventure with shooting components, puzzles, ginormous bosses, a variety of lifeforms, lots of weapons/suit upgrades, tones of secrets to explore, fantastic music and real atmosphere
Besides the topographical changes that affect how you approach your objectives, there's the fact that the very atmosphere of Dark Aether is corrosive to Samus, which factors into how easily you can navigate the areas you explore.
There's so many impressive factors, the usefulness of your visors giving you extra interaction throughout the game, the new upgrades, the logic that your dark beam annihilates anything in the normal dimension and vice versa, New upgrades for more interaction, noticeably better graphics, the wonderful (and honestly really frustrating at times) challenge of trying to fight a boss in the dark dimension but losing health constantly because the atmosphere alone can kill you ( don't worry, you get upgrades that make it do less damage and eventually you can walk through taking no damage at all
I kind of despise the people who have no faith in nintendo
The games are sometimes fun, decent, and entertaining, but when some people try to destroy other because of lame reasons like "weird commercials..." is just... lame
Many people have complained about the scheme but this is because Metroid Prime 2 is NOT a first person shooter
Nintendo's got the GUTS to do things like these, unlike the PS2 and the XBox, where all the do is get your attention by "hot" and "sexy" people in their games, advertising uncreative junk to all
people will not like the fact that most areas are small and seem
In the dark twisted version of Aether, known as Dark Aether (That is one of the most creative titles I've ever heard) the parasitic spiderish like Ing rule
Who doesn't love a fight with the dark version of yourself
Samus encounters a dark version of herself and before she can attack she is sent back to the light side of the world
You get to battle a dark version of Samus throughout and also traverse giant mechanical fortresses
fans of Prime will love Echoes, just as i do.there are still numerous things to scan and you are awarded with nifty and interesting bonuses and secrets depending on how much you get scanned.
the atmosphere of the dark world is dangerous, depleting your health as you traverse the land
Greater thanks to dark world-Bonuses: same is firstCONS.-Same as first, LOTS OF BACKTRACKING, ANNOYING DOUBLE JUMPS, OTHER DIFFICULT MANEUVERS and TOO MANY WORDS-Dark world is a wonderful creation, but as you lose health while playing in it causes constant stress in your mind and can make the experience torturous in the beginning
The plot is not as good this time around, the light and dark world idea has been done before, and the dark world was very frustrating to go through in the early stages as you constantly lose health while not in certain areas.
The "light" side is pretty much normal, but traveling to the "dark" side subjects Samus to dangerous atmospheric conditions that slowly drain your health unless you stand near a light beacon.
I can't stand this game I find it stupid you have to switch between the light and dark worlds and then back track at certain points in the game not to mention the enemies on here are annoying as
Dark Aether is depressing, lonely, and conveys a real sense of danger as throughout the bulk of the game you're running around between spheres of light to escape the poisonous atmosphere
Just the fact that you travel back and forth between light and dark aether is brilliant
They are mostly fought on Dark Aether, where the atmosphere will damage you if you're not in a safe zone, and this adds a further sense of urgency
In Dark Aether, everything succumbs to blacks and purples, resonant and haunting sounds comprise a sparse sound track, and the level design is a corrupted variation of what exists on the light side.
I can't stand this game I find it stupid you have to switch between the light and dark worlds and then back track at certain points in the game not to mention the enemies on here are annoying as
I can't stand this game I find it stupid you have to switch between the light and dark worlds and then back track at certain points in the game not to mention the enemies on here are annoying as
And I can't even express how great it is to have the screw attack back in the game
I can't stand this game I find it stupid you have to switch between the light and dark worlds and then back track at certain points in the game not to mention the enemies on here are annoying as
You also gain new movement systems that are new to the game, such as the Screw Attack, which is rather difficult to get used to
The fan-favorite screw attack is back, though it is not very useful as an attack.
Mix in human Space Marines, Space Pirates, and a foe hard-core Prime fanatics will recognize along the way, and you have, well, Echoes.
killing foes with the light beam awards dark ammo, and killing foes with the dark beam awards light ammo.
