    Metroid Prime 2: Echoes

    • She must now stop the Ing, the race that occupies the Dark world
    • There are some areas where what you do in the dark world effects the lightworld but the game doesn't make it clear
    • The game will get REALLY CONFUSING once you start going into alot of light world, dark world, areas and solving the puzzles arn't easy, did I mention some of the boss battles we put you in some frustraiting.
    • Samus must restore the temples in both in the light and the dark world, which the dark world mutates creatures, in Ather to save the Luminoth from certain extinction
    • in the dark world, you take damage just from walking around outside the cool-looking light orbs.
    • As you go on, you will collect keys and continually take portals between both dark and light worlds
    • The plot is not as good this time around, the light and dark world idea has been done before, and the dark world was very frustrating to go through in the early stages as you constantly lose health while not in certain areas.
    • And as someone who has played every "Metroid" game (minus the DS games), I had my worries about a poisonous Dark World with limited ammo
    • As for the people complaining of the atmosphere in the dark world what i can say is that you get two suit upgrades.
    • Nintendo! You explore the same areas that you do in the light world (for the most part) however the atmosphere is incredibly creepier and lonelier in the dark world.
    • The dark world can be very annoying at first, especially until you upgrade your suit, but adds a nice variety
    • my god, the artistic side surpasses everyhting out there, even doom 3. if you want to play a real game that truly immerses you in a mysterious alien world where you will be continously amazed, challenged and rewarded buy this game!
    • I like the dark world and think it was a good idea but not exucuted perfectly.
    • Greater thanks to dark world-Bonuses: same is firstCONS.-Same as first, LOTS OF BACKTRACKING, ANNOYING DOUBLE JUMPS, OTHER DIFFICULT MANEUVERS and TOO MANY WORDS-Dark world is a wonderful creation, but as you lose health while playing in it causes constant stress in your mind and can make the experience torturous in the beginning
    • The enemies are much more rough then PrimeS enemies like the DARK WORLD SPACE PIRATE, yes they are even harder then the original pirates
    • The only true boss battle that was great was the giant Dark world boss that you fight at the end of the game, I won't spoil it for you
    • It really feels like you're exploring the world as opposed to being spoon fed where to go next.
    • By the way water is solid in the dark world
    • I can't believe more people don't agree with me, come on!!In the dark world, you will frequently encounter these slithery black leach-like enemies that slide around on walls, floors and ceilings.
    • Being damaged and dying in the dark world does not help increase one's gameplay abilities
    • Concerning the gameplay mechanics, traversing worlds is required to accomplish certain tasks.
    • It really feels like you're exploring the world as opposed to being spoon fed where to go next.
    • Something that was really great is the new "Dark world, Light World" story which made me fall in love with this masterpiece.
    • I like the dark world and think it was a good idea but not exucuted perfectly.
    • The Dark World in particular is foreboding, and well, DARK!
    • And other bosses especially in the dark world are very fun.-Length
    • doing that in the dark world with energy constantly drained was annoying.
    • the atmosphere of the dark world is dangerous, depleting your health as you traverse the land
    • Prime 2's opening is Samus going to trash world because of "strange activity"
    • In Echoes, this creates a lot of puzzles and confusion such as solving something in the dark world to initiate something in the light world
    • The light-world/dark-world concept comes to brilliant vividness in this game
    • Anyway, the first thing I noticed is that this game focuses much more light and dark versions of the same world, rather than distinctive worlds
    • The way the light/dark world mechanic affects gameplay is not limited to what I just mentioned, but it's a taste of what to expect
    • Imagine the effect in the dark world to the Metroids
    • In 2002, Nintendo unveiled a game of such vision, complexity, and stunning visual detail that it shook the gaming world to its core.
    • People say that the Dark World thing just adds to the challenge of the game, but a challenge is something that can be surpassed not something that is absolutely 100% unbeatable
    • and you really begin to dread the dark world
    • 2 new visors: Dark Visor, allowing you to see objects and enemies that are in the dark world when you're in the light world
    • upsThe screw attak is badass but sadly its only good to look flashy and to help samus travelit can only jump five times and needs alot of room to use and might even be totally useless in combatThe ammo stations only exist in the dark world for some reasonthe Light Suit is cool but again is only flashy and has little to no use and barly any quick travel via the beams of light
    • In the Dark World, Samus can't survive for very long unless she's protected by small transparent domes of light
    • I just want to say I absolutely LOVE the dark world areas in Echoes.
    • An expertly crafted world with fantastic mythology, a near perfect map layout (that links areas together as players progress), diverse areas, fantastic controls, and a great level of challenge in both exploration and combat made Metroid Prime a great achievement for videogames
    • A Link to the Past, MP2Echoes uses a Light/Dark World theme
    • The atmosphere is a lot darker this time, owing to the Dark world, and it is completely immersive
    • The world just drags you in and makes you feel like you are a part of it
    • Here, the light/dark world trick is more of a nuissance than anything
    • In this game, Samus journeys to a planet called Aether, which is split into two worlds - the Light World and the Dark World
    • It didn't just leave a crater, it opened a path through dimensions which the Ing, the main enemy in the game (sorry, but Space Pirates do make some entrances) came from the dark world to the light world
    • Yes now Samus can run of ammo for both "Light world, Dark world" weapons but the combos you earn and new moves you get
    • so there is this light/dark world, in different dimensions and when you enter the Alien made portal your transported to the other side
    • I loved the light world/dark world thing (even though they're borrowing that theme from A Link to the Past) and Dark Samus was great
    • A Link to the Past, concerning the whole "Light/Dark World" mechanic
    • Also, the light world/dark world plotline is straight out of The Legend of Zelda
