Metroid: Samus Returns - Nintendo 3DS

    • Lots of stuff to find and collect, nice combat and nice visuals
    • Veterans to the series will also find this game to be equally as challenging as previous Metroid games and new abilities such as the melee counter attack change up combat from what you're used to
    • Gameplay:plays alright tough the combat is ridiculous when you gotta remember to use your counter attack or else you'll get hit, something easy to forget when shooting works best, same for shield bashing in zeda botw, enemies are vicious and will attack at
    • In a sense, these two elements improve on aspects of Super Metroid and Prime, the two best Metroid games: The counter attack element means the combat feels like a more essential part of the game than it did in Super Metroid (or any of the Metroids that followed that formula), and the game save change alleviates one of the few flaws of Metroid Prime (situations where you'd have to replay almost an hour of the game because dying in a difficult boss fight sent you
    • This got annoying pretty fast and made me dread combat
    • The combat was ruined by the melee counter
    • Does Samus Returns capture the same desperate combat and lonely, claustrophobic feeling of exploration as Return of Samus?Thankfully, yes
    • With the first 2 reasons, combat is a nightmare
    • This game is as close to perfect as I think could be made, especially with so many "cooks in the kitchen"
    • n’t go wrong with this game
