Metroid: Samus Returns - Nintendo 3DS

    • I spent hours making poor Samus space-jump and spider-ball every inch of every cavern and corridor looking for loose metroids and missile upgrades
    • Metroids are not limited to the 5/10/20/50 missiles to kill arrangement of the original, and some of the Metroid fights are also not limited to just one room
    • This is finding and killing Metroids
    • Thankfully the Metroids change as you progress and they become more difficult
    • It's a remake of 2 where your objective is to kill all the Metroids on SR388, but they've obviously expanded the gameplay greatly
    • one of the better metroids
    • About the only thing it really shares are some loose level design and destroying the Metroids
    • Your goal is to go roaming through areas and defeat enough Metroids to get a pool of acid to lower even further so that you can explore deeper
    • Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got some metroids to go kill.
    • as she progresses through the world, the metroids mature and she confronts alpha, gamma, zeta, omega and ultimately the queen metroid. as usual, the game encourages backtracking as many early areas of the game have segments that are inaccessible until earning a particular power-up/upgrade.the main new elements of the game include the 'melee counter'
    • the title is a superb choice for a remake as 'metroid II' is generally regarded as the weakest title in the series, despite introducing many staples of the series.the story is the same as the original, samus is dispatched to SR388 to destroy all the metroids
    • Also, do we really have to kill 40 freaking metroids?
    • n’t go wrong with this game
    • If you want an example, I spent about an hour in the first area dying repeatedly before I even faced the first Metroid because I really didn't want to use the move, so I watched a video about the game to find out what I why I sucked at
    • The game utilizes the 3-D effect pretty well and gameplay feels nice and responsive
