Microsoft Flight Simulator X Deluxe DVD - PC

    • I can not stress enough how important it is to have the right graphics card for this game, because contrary to popular beleif, you do not need the Godfather of all Systems to run this game
    • Upgraded the card to 8800 and ram to 4GB
    • now I think I'll upgrade my card and enjoy FS9 maxed out.
    • But make sure you have a GOOD CPU and card
    • Also, one with at least 100 stream processors (shaders). To simplify, cards that will deliver excellent framerates for this game:Any Geforce 8800Any Geforce 9xxx, some of which are not yet outAnything from the Radeon R600 or R700 line of chips
    • My problem is my graphics card
    • It requires a powerful computer and a fast graphics card but it is a lot of fun to fly.
    • All in all, with the RIGHT GRAPHICS CARD (still stressing), this game is a winner, providing the most realistic flight simulation available today
    • too!The graphics are fantastic (when its running) but again, better have a very good video card to run it.
    • I realize now that in order to get the 100% best graphics I would need a more powerful PC and graphics card
    • I have a 3 Gig P4 with 1G mem and a decent video card.
    • For example, right now a DX10 compliant video card cost almost $700.00
    • With the right computer system (video card, system CPU and memory) you can take full advantage of Microsoft's amazing simulated flight experience...absolutely amazing!!!!!
    • Check out the water cooled video cards if you really want some
    • If you don't have Intel Core 2 Duo processor with a very decent graphic card in your machine, don't even bother to buy it
    • Requires a pretty good graphics card
    • You should have a good graphics card, however, before you even set scenery to Ultra-high
    • A good graphics card
    • One weird thing about FSX is that beyond a certain point of performance, throwing better graphics cards at it doesn't really boost the FPS much
    • (DX10 compliant cards), and with dual-core processors that most of us don't have
    • Good/Fast gaphics, but you must have a "HOT" video card and the more (and faster
    • A good CPU is more important than a good graphics card.
    • Buy Flight Sim 9 if you have an old puter, buy 10 if you have a new puter with fast processor and really good graphics card.
    • My gueess is any decent dual core CPU with a decent graphics card (Radeon 3600 or better) should be able to drive this game at full speed.
    • If you do have a good graphics card I would highly reccomend buying this
    • I have MS FS 2004 and X-plane 8 and let me tell you I deleted MS FS 2004 as fast as I could
    • I've run FS9 on several machines with a variety of graphics cards and processor speeds, and although it runs faster or slower as you might expect, it's still fundamentally the same experience
    • So to wrap up - I highly recommend this simulator to any Aerolover as myself
    • I haven't done much with the multiplayer, so I won't argue from ignorance, but you have to have a GameSpy ID (easy enough to get, and free), and you have to basically have a broadband connection - anything slower will lag to the point of being unplayable.-The game is practically unplayable without a joystick of some kind.
    • 5 stars there if you have a supercomputer, but their aircraft in FS-X suffer from this common problem, no forward visiblilty with a 2-D usable panel.
