Compared to FS 2004, the graphics quality *potential* has been increased with more reflections and sharper graphics

Some of the really good graphics that I have in FS 2004 cannot be used in FS X, but basic ground details are much better in the new version.

It should never load this slow the 2004 game was far superior but terrible graphics.

On the positive side, the graphics are very easy to adjust for optimal performance.

Let me put it this way-I haven't seen worse graphics since the mid-90's

While the graphics are not great they are better than Fs9.

After 30 minutes of crawling frames and lousy graphics I uninstalled it and put back my good old FS with Megascenery.

Enticed by the dazzling new graphics and advertisments, I upgraded to this Flight Simulator X from Flight Simulator 2004.

The graphics are blurry, I get low frames/sec, and it takes quite a long time to load each flight

Sure you can increase the frame rate by dialing back the graphics, but you're left with a visual that is worse than FS 2004.To run this game smoothly (with dense graphics) it seems I'll need to upgrade the processor

Flight Simulator X (FSX) can be run on most any system nowadays, but running it on a computer that barely meets the minimum requirements will give you an experience with poor framerates and poor graphics.

As a pilot, I instantly recognized the Cessna 172 cockpit, and because the graphics were so bad I quickly reverted to flying by instruments only (again, not very exciting)

It's older software so the graphics aren't going to blow you away.

I had baugh this game because of the improved graphics and i am really happy for my purchase of the latest flight simulator game

I have MS FS 2004 and X-plane 8 and let me tell you I deleted MS FS 2004 as fast as I could

I've run FS9 on several machines with a variety of graphics cards and processor speeds, and although it runs faster or slower as you might expect, it's still fundamentally the same experience

So to wrap up - I highly recommend this simulator to any Aerolover as myself

Has "Flying Lessons" with, granted, a guy who has the corniest sense of humor I've ever heard...but humor aside...still really cool and as far as I (a non pilot) can tell, seems like the tests are fairly realistic with the exception that you "can" bypass startup, mixture, rudders, etc.
