I don't know why other people were having problems with this item

For all the people complaining that its a Chinese knock off, mines 100% legit.

so I think that's why people had so many issues.

Apparently people had issues with the receiver on Vista and XP, but seriously, if you are still using Vista by now, just kill yourself, or catch up to the rest of mankind

I looked through reviews and tried what other people claimed worked for them, but nothing helped mine

I've seen that some people had problems with drivers with this and other knockoff receivers, but for me there was ZERO setup needed

Mine was an authentic Microsoft product--it sounds like some people are getting knock-offs, so check yours when it arrives

Make sure you're using a good powered USB 2.0 port on your motherboard.... sometimes I wonder if people are having problems because its not getting enough power, or are trying to use USB 3.0
