Shooting them in the head, exploding their heads, cutting off their heads, throwing them off cliffs, burning them with exploding barrels, backstabbing, causing monsters to attack them, mind controlling them to kill other orcs and then have their heads explode when I was done with them, etc, etc.

I felt that the controls were great, and I enjoyed the different types of combat.

Shadow of Mordor is a game with some glaring weak points that manages to make up for it with some novel and fun systems, as well as solid combat, responsive controls, and interesting environments.
