Inexpensive midi controller works great!

This is one significant reason I don't believe these modern USB mini controllers are at all suitable for learning to play keys

Great basic controller that's a bit bigger than some of the smaller brands.

keyed (standard) standalone keyboards, but the "midiplus AKM320 midiplus MIDI Keyboard" keys are big enough to accomplish the usage goal as the bigger (standard) keyed midi controllers

although I was disappointed by the stiff keys, it still makes for a good controller in apps like GarageBand and FL Studio 12.

Obviously it doesn't really compare to higher end more expensive midi controllers
