The AKM320 32 mini size Master keyboard controller which includes Pitch and Modulation wheels, Volume slider, Octave buttons (Up & Down), Transpose buttons (Up & Down) and Sustain pedal input. It's powered via a single USB cable and ...
I suspect this is because these keyboards obligatorily omitted velocity, and when you add that requirement to the equation you end up with keyboards that aren't as fun or as quick-feeling to play as an old thrift-store Casiotone; there's probably just not enough throw in the tiny keystrokes to allow for some semblance of satisfactory velocity response (which requires either a force-sensing resistor or multiple switches)
The pitch and modulation wheels have a really nice feel to them, as well as the volume slider
Speaking of velocity, despite the uh less responsive overall feel of the keyboard, once one's touch is adjusted to the needed firmer / more unpleasant level, at least the AKM320's velocity output doesn't seem arbitrary or wildly inconsistent; it seems about on par with my "big brand" controllers

Pros:-Drivers Install Automatically-Ready to Go in Seconds-Responsive and Snappy Keys-Great Pitch Wheel
It's nice that it incorporates a pitch and mod wheel (both of which work fine and are reasonably responsive) along with a single CC controller for volume which can be remapped to something else like filter freq in your software if you so desire

The keyboard was half the price of most competitive options, and for the first few days upon arrival I was thrilled with it
I did not expect much for the price but definitely, save your money and get a better option
That being said, overall this is an excellent option for traveling musicians like myself who just need something to convey the ideas that pop in our heads.*Backpack DIYer approved!

I formerly had the Akai MPX keyboard, which looks really cool and which has more features, but which I got rid of because its action was so poor
It's cheap enough that I may also yet find out!Out of the box and not plugged in, the AKM320's action feels pretty nice for what it is, very similar to the Akai keybed
Great (inexpensive) board with lots of bells and whistles, good action, and tolerates abuse.

I've bumped up my review from 2 stars to 4 stars to reflect my satisfaction with the replacement product rather than the original.===ORIGINAL REVIEW===This keyboard seemed like the perfect product for me
Once my travel concluded I was able to send the product in for replacement; I'm hoping that it turns out to be an anomalous product defect and perhaps the replacement keyboard will have a sturdier build
the mf keys r hard 2 press down like how tf am i supposed to loop these dang melodies if this
I totally recommend this product and it is easy to install depending what daw you’re using.
Stiff keys but keyboard works and does what I need it to do and thats all I could have hoped for at this price
This works well with my MacBook Pro laptop and GarageBand application
(the cable worked well enough for Windows to declare I had connected an unknown USB device that was broken, which didn't sound like a bad cable, but apparently

It works perfect on Windows (Cubase, VMPK Piano, etc) no special drivers required, on Mac (Garage band) on android Tablet (samsung) and Phone (motorola), works perfect too (Walkband, Midi Keyboard, etc
Keys are slightly stiff and feel very mechanical, but that's what you can expect from a keyboard in this price range (to get rid of this feeling, semi-weighted or weighted keys are the way to go).Windows 7,
Keys are slightly hard to push down all the way sometimes, but it works greatly for a small cheap keyboard.

Keys are mushy and very tiny, and the included cable didn't work
Keys were not sensitive, and very uncomfortable to play
