Midland 50 Channel Waterproof GMRS Two-Way Radio - Long Range Walkie Talkie with 142 Privacy Codes, SOS Siren, and NOAA Weather Alerts and Weather Scan (Black/Yellow, Pair Pack)

    • I wouldn't trust these batteries for anything, they've ruined our electronics and boy, what a terrible job backing up their own branded products
    • Not sure if it's just a faulty battery that needs replacement or the handset itself has the problem, but I'm returning for another replacement for now.
    • The batteries didn't come out though and everything else still works so that's a plus
    • i haven't seen such bad batteries in a handheld device before, that thing last about an hour in both units, used AA duracell batteries and they lasted over 10 hours of heavy usage, i will not recommend anyone get this pair if they plan on heavy usage as the AA batteries can get expensive, better look for a model with good rechargeable batteries.
    • The new batteries are still crazy unpredictable
    • But the biggest problem is the batteries that come with the units
    • Without being used, by 5 AM the battery is DEAD!!!!
    • Good range, battery did die after a fair amount of use
    • The rechargeable battery would not charge, and alkaline batteries don't work either.
    • I really just recommend using regular one time use AA batteries for the radios

    • Only other thing is that sometimes the battery level shows as full until the batteries are dead and it doesn't give you a whole lot of warning.
    • Good battery life, good range.
    • Overall did the job, batteries die at about 6 hours in.
    • Units are easy to use and seem to have very reasonable battery life on a sub 10 degree day.
    • Other than the defective batteries, the radios worked great.
    • I think the reason why so many of the reviews on here says the battery broke or poor battery life is because they charged it for 24 hours (which the manual says should be how long you charge it the first time) despite it being fully charge out of factory
    • Midland did get back to me and provide two additional batteries, so good for them
    • I bought these walkie talkies the same week as the batteries and on Amazon as well.
    • It seems to read fully charged at all times and them the battery will go dead after showing that full charge minutes before
    • The included rechargeable batteries is probably good for a short day trip at most
    • Worst BATTERY ever!!!!
