The sound is clear and there is plenty of volume if needed.

Hvn't tested battery life yet but these babies work good, sound is clear and definitely have a great range.

Very clear sound we use them to keep track of our boy, These radios reach clear across town from inside our home with metal siding to inside his friends home nearly 1 1/2 miles with good sound.

The range is excellent up to 1/4 mile if have clear line of sight.

Please remember that these will only get the "extreme range" when using with a clear line of sight and the correct frequency.

Remember 36 miles as stated is mountain top to mountain top unobstructed clear line of site.

Works well-mostly line of sight, but also several blocks away in a neighborhood, houses with trees etc blocking visual sighting.

They're great little radios - distance seems 'ok' - I can get up to 1-mile in Suburburbia which I am happy with

I followed the guide for best distance and even reached out to support to see if I was missing something but got no response.

I really wished that I had more distance but for the cost, this will suffice.

The battery life is very good, and reception is good, although I think they should not advertise 35 mile ranges

The sounds quality and signal reception are both good as expect.

We took them camping in the mountains and got really good reception for a few miles

We were even down on the second deck and got great reception to the top deck

I used these on a trip to Europe and got great reception (about a mile) with all the buildings and narrow streets in Venice.

Look for some other reliable product with longer battery life.

This product performs quite well although the distances it claims to operate are pure theory and in real life, you can use this up to a mile or two without too much distortion in the sound.

The two radio set works well for very short range in the desert when on the trails; however the range is very limited

The 35 miles advertised seems a bit of a pipe dream in the mountains, but we did have a very good range.

Also they have good range, as we have tried them to about 2 miles over rolling terrain with decent results.

They're not going to go 50 miles, but these are a great, cost-effective alternative to crappy kid walkie-talkies.

If you need a decent “walkie talkie” these will do the trick.

We had less expensive walkie talkies before these that one dropped the batteries would fall out
