    Midland 75-785 40-Channel CB Radio

    • But this radio is very cheap and does not pick up very well, the batteries are hard to get in
    • I had drained the batteries
    • Sometimes it overheats and drains the batteries in a few minutes.
    • I only use the 12v outlet cord, which was included, because when I put cheap batteries in it the "low battery" light was on and it didn't make a sound
    • This makes it easy to walk away and leave it turned on and plugged into your vehicle ... causing a dead battery
    • That is a lot, especially if you plan to use this only for emergency situations (I barely have 9 batteries around the house when its not an emergency)
    • You must have batteries in them to get enough wattage out for distance, but even then they work less than 1/2 a mile.
    • With new alkaline batteries shows as weak batteries and will not change from channel 8.
    • great price kills battery quick even on low power actually spoke to fellow cb'r 6 mles away and did not realize had it on low power bout 2 watts not the max 4 watts should get better antenna and chargeable battery's
    • This drawback frequently leads to the radio being left on and the batteries being dead the next time you go to use it.
    • Drained batteries over night when it was off
    • and then it would die with fresh batteries
    • I like it it works well when I am out of my 4x4 and directing the guys, I can communicate just as good as in my jeepbut range is just ok (compared to my fixed unit...duh)
    • BUT BAD VERY BAD CUSTOMER R,S -BOUGHT 1 AND
